BDO Darts
« on: January 08, 2012, 12:55:10 PM »
Watched a bit of this yesterday ... funny how dire it seems as compared to the PDC ... it"s better standard than it used to be ... and this is where most of the PDC Stars began and won initial world titles.

I have taken value bets on :

Gary Stone : Average 73.5/1
Benito van de Pas : Average 80.6/1

Surely it cannot be another dreary Martin Adams victory 7/2 - He was there for the taking yesterday - albeit he did improve ...

Smile - He did a job on Stone though ...

I am on Kist now - but my attack on the darts this year has been pretty shocking ... (good last year)

Kist can rescue me ...

Kist looking good - albeit dodgy on the doubles at times. Average 96.

Weight of scoring is strongest in the tournament - chances of the great escape from Christmas darts betting!

Winstanley out - Hankey lucky to get through.

The bottom half of the draw is looking set up for Kist if he can keep playing to the same standard.

O"Shea could well oust Martin Adams at just under 2/1 tomorrow night.

Game on.

Would love a hankey o"shea final :)

Kist looks like a fish when he throws. We can"t have that.

TBH it"s all pretty snoozeworthy. The BDO should just give up or find a way to join in with the PDC. Wishful thinking.

Hankey should be making an exit about 3.30pm today ...

I had a great 14/1 bet on Hankey after round 1 in 2000 - but not convinced his game is there any more.

Odds are interesting now :

O"Shea 2.74
Kist 3.1
Hankey 4.7
Harms 8.8

Before yesterday Hankey was ahead of Kist in the betting - cannot find the averages on the BDO site!

I think could be two pretty one sided semis.

Ted Hankey quote:

Afterwards the double world champ admitted: "I played absolute garbage, terrible and need to go away and learn how to play darts overnight or Christian will destroy me."

Game on

What a shameful piece of journalism

Get the impression the BDO wanted Trina to win?

All their reports are pretty random - quite keen to watch a re-run of the match now though.

I love all the talk of unseeded players - there were 4 seeds from a field of 8 and the "snarling Russian" would likely have been top seed had see not spent some time with the PDC.

When are they going to have a proper tournament for the ladies - with proper length matches??

Not sure what to make of those semi finals.

Have chopped Kist to a £1064 freeroll - but could take half that as profit and run - makes sense as it feels like a coin flip.

That said if Kist can push throw his first dart a bit more might have the scoring power ...

Can"t believe Hankey threw it away from 5-4 and 2-0. Only 1 bull for the match which he almost hit tbf. Behaved like a spoiled kid for half the match so he didn"t deserve it. He"ll be mullered with those scoring aves in the pdc if he does go.

Think I"d take some profit on kist but wouldn"t close it out completely. GL.

Kist was trading at 10/1 late on - I was very tempted but missed the additional monies ...

I will probably adjust my position tomorrow - it feels like a coin flip for £1k

Kist is the slight favourite ...

Could be a good battling final.

I think Hankey will raise his game a little in the PDC but I think he is just bored of the BDO - maybe he should have gone post his 2009 win.

Yeah, after 2009 he probably could"ve jumped straight into the Premier League.

I hope O"Shea wins. Not seen Kist play but his averages in the early rounds were good - should he win?

Even money : If they both played to their best would be great level match.

Kist looks like he has a little more scoring power but can be wobbly on the doubles.

I think I will change the bet to Kist + £650 O"Shea + £450.

I do like O"Shea - good ambassador for the sport - couldn"t raise his game today though - (but near could Kist!)

Kist could be great in PDC.

Watched the BDO last night for the first time in years, I couldn"t  believe the massive difference from the PDC!

Awful viewing to be honest
