Bit disappointed with the turn-out tonight, 145 runners.

I know i"ve mentioned before that maybe saturdays are not ideal.
Is it the buy-ins?
It seems that APAT is growing all the time, yet the numbers for the online series are staying about the same and even falling. (not sure as have not kept a note of previous numbers)

Anyone have any views on this?

Yep I have a couple if you want a noob"s opinion :) I"m new to the series and I thought that the Australian round meant it was for Australians only to enter. Seems that"s not the case (not that I"m even slightly fussed about that) but for me it seems that if you have what looks to be a tourney for a specific country and a local to that country start time of the very early hours of sunday morning...numbers may well be thin :) Even if it was a European country people may well think it"s for a certain nationality only.

Sunday during the day would be a GREAT start time for those of us in Australia and maybe Japan but it won"t be a lot of fun for the rest of you in Europe and that"s where most of you seem to be from. (Where I am it"s GMT +9.5)

Maybe just have it as an online series with a different naming system for the rounds and keep the start time consistent. That should remove the country confusion and any1 new can be clear on what they"re looking at.

eg: APAT Online Series -Round 1 - Buy-in $22 - Start @ GMT.

I"m also happy with the buy-in amount. I think it"s in the happy medium between not being too expensive and not being too cheap. Too expensive and no1 will enter but the hardcore players but too cheap and every man and their dog will enter and the quality of play may suffer. I"m thinking of the standard of play in cheap entry (less than 10 USD) pokerstars tourneys as a reference.

I have to say though that once I was in and playing I felt like it was a good solid competition (and friendly too) where every1 knew what they were doing and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Anyhoo that"s my 2 cents - thanks for having me :)
