DOHHHHHHH!!!!!  ;D

We survived...mostly.  Jack and I went for dinner in the casino restaurant Saturday night hoping to counter all the drink.  Orders placed and starters eaten when Jack decides he needs to go to the loo.  "Be right back" he says.  Mains came out and no sign of Jack.  Uh oh.  I tried to ring him and then a few of the Lads to track him down, but there was no reception in the casino restaurant.  Marv and sigh.

Ate my dinner, had his wrapped up and went to look for him.  I know what you"re thinking, but no...he didn"t fall asleep in the loo again. Apparently he"d forgotten he was having dinner and was randomly wandering around the casino looking for me.  TAXI! lol Obviously I tripped over my own two feet as we were getting the taxi and am now sporting some fantastic bruises.  But I didn"t drop the bottle of wine during the fall...RESULT!

Great day out with great people and glad we went.  Rib eye steak dinner for breakfast on Sunday morning was a decent bonus too.   ;D

;D it was me that found Jack at the bar asking "where"s my Dawnie" bless him. Told him to stay put whilst I tracked you down and found you in the restaurant, then went back and held his hand bringing him back to you... love you both. had a great day... even if we did only manage 2 pubs in total in York.

Completely off "track" now. But I"d also like a new olympics as well. A "clean" version as it currently stands and a "pumped up to hell" version where anything goes. Athletes can pump themselves full of any enhancing drugs they like. Personally would love to see what is possible for the human body to achieve over the 100m, high jump, long jump etc. Gets the current cheaters out of the "clean" version and also gives us all a chance to see what"s possible.

I know it"ll never happen.. but it"d be fun to watch x

Not exactly the same... but... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-26766095

Going to be great to watch x

Apologies to anyone receiving any malware warnings trying to access the site over the weekend.

Both the main site (apat.com) and this forum were targets of a heavy hacking attack. Has took a while and most of the weekend to sort and thoroughly clean. Not sure if you can imagine how many lines of code there are to run both sites but to go through page after page and line after line to look for anything that looks suspicious and remove takes a loooooooong time. Bank holiday weekend as well. Sigh.

It can also take a further 12 hours for Google to double check all is well and give the all clear.

All clean now so you can use the site and forum without any worries. Enjoy x

Depends on the browser you were using John. Users using Chrome and Firefox experienced warnings. Other browsers (presuming you were using a different browser or tablet) didn"t receive any warnings and were fine.

Don"t care about the warnings Phil. Are you saying that it was no more than that? Were we exposed to risk on the site?

The malware was inserted adverts into the main site and forum John. Nothing that could infect your device. I accessed the site over the weekend ignoring Chrome warnings and just experienced embedded advertising, nothing was picked up on my malware or antivirus software. If your browser automatically stripped them out all good for you.

If you want to be 100% sure then run your anti virus software or anti malware scans.

I use Windows so use the following free scanning software :

For anti virus : http://www.avast.com/en-gb/index
For anti malware : https://www.malwarebytes.org/

Thanks for doing that Phil, much appreciated, particularly given the terrible timing.  Hopefully the new measures will reduce the potential of a repeat attack getting through.

In preparation for tonight"s season announcement I"m busy applying all available updates to the forum software which may require some down time. This will be all completed by 2pm today.

Apologies to any inconvenience caused. This is to ensure the server is running at full capacity for later x

*edit* All done. Roll on the new season and all who sails in her

So. Errm. I"m off to Vegas tomorrow for 10 days.

Been snowed under with work for what seems like forever so really looking forward to the break. Lilly"s first time as well and she can"t wait. Have upgraded all the way, so should be immense.

First 3 nights are in the Encore with one of their Panoramic Suites : http://www.wynnlasvegas.com/Rooms/EncoreResorts/PanoramicSuite

Then up the strip to the Cosmo for a terrace and view of the Bellagio fountains :
http://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/stay/rooms-and-suites/terrace-studio-one-bedroom-with-view.aspx

The finishing off with a chill out at with a Strip view suite at the Mandarin Oriental :
http://www.mandarinoriental.com/lasvegas/accommodation/strip-view-suite/

Booked some shows and stuff, going to a club / lounge or two as well.  World cup you say as well? WSOP too? oh my. Compared to the last time I was there with the APAT gang which was one of the best trips EVER, this is going to be totally different, but sooooooo really looking forward to it.

See you all when I get back.. if I get back.. always said I could run my business from anywhere (might need a volunteer to keep the APAT server hamsters fed though) :)

Really hoping work frees itself so I can get over to a certain wedding in Ohio as well. Late bookings hoping to be made when we get back. Waiting on some work in Australia to sort itself out. Fingers crossed.

Would say I would miss you all whilst I"m out there in Vegas.. but well.. you know the truth x

Server had a little wobble this morning, anyone who uses Microsoft will know the multitude of patches that are constantly arriving.. seems the latest batch didnt agree. Anyway.. as you can see we"re all back up and running. Apologies for the down time.

Must remember to update this blog.. seems I"m not the only one though.

Seems only Brian and John updating regularly.. as I"m as culpable as others I"m putting mine down to work being crazy busy, have people lost the love? APAT blogs used to be such a vibrant place, can see the 2014 "Blog of the year" award not being over competitive.

Anything to worry about you think?
