Massive starting hand at the end - A24 (the second strongest possible), but paired all three of them. He had a very strong starting hand too, 345 - not quite as big but still very strong (though AJD would fold it on third). He paired two of his as well, but he got there. He didn"t have much to beat at the end, cos I didn"t even have five unpaired cards - lol.

Thanks for watching guys, it makes it a lot easier knowing that people are supporting (and stayed up so late to do so), instead of feeling like the only person in the world still up, apart from the other nutters still playing, so I do appreciate it.

I wonder who"ll win. Gotta give Justin a great chance now he has chips. Before the FT he was almost out several times, but won the hand each time he was all-in, including a couple of three-ways. Don"t really care who wins now.

Time for bed - I"m in work at 9am.

Wow what a thrill that was to get up and read through this thread and then wondering where you finished on the final table.

Very well played on your 8th place John and that last hand was very harsh but as with all tournaments you need the breaks at the right time, you should be very proud of yourself competing on a level playing field with some of the great names in poker.

Oh dear, it"s tomorrow already.

Now I wish I hadn"t sold 60% on 8 different forums. The plan didn"t include cashing.

Just time for a quick snooze. Wake me again in 5 mins please.

Well played John. And to think you were doubting whether you were even going to play this! Great effort.

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

Very well played John. Great result. Unlucky on the final hand but not a lot you could do there.

Can I put some of my winnings on 10% of you for ECOAP Player of the Series.   :)

Now stop final tabling the ECOAP and give some of us others a crack at the POTS, that goes for you aswell Overton!! :D

....He had a very strong starting hand too, 345 - not quite as big but still very strong (though AJD would fold it on third)...

;D
At that stage of the game no I wouldn"t fold, but the 345 earlier on facing a raise from a 2 and two 2"s still to act I fold in close to a heartbeat. I didn"t see too much out of line at that stage to think that it was worth playing the guessing game because catching any card 8 or below is gonna commit you till 7th.
Having said that it turns out you had the best hand on 3rd and reraised with the best of it and were still ahead on 4th after which your hand started bricking. Not always best to judge the original decision by the outcome but as I said I would have folded that spot on 3rd with the cards on view, but of course that might just make me a fish!
Does JonMW have a view on it?

Anyways you won in for peanuts and bagged 8th place in a strong field for $3850 FFS, WP that man!  :D
