DTD was absolutely buzzing yesterday. It was the kind of day to set the poker juices flowing and to inspire a guy.
I"d taken the eminently sensible precaution of buying in online before I even set off for Nottingham and thus when the seat draw was announced I could wander past the queue of less far-sighted people which stretched from the cash desk to the bar. For those unfamiliar with the layout that queue had around 100 people in it...
Table 67 seat 4 would normally be a lock for getting an early move as tables were broken. Yesterday the alternates list meant that it would be unlikely I would move for the duration.

All that was needed to make the day complete was to play well, avoid any heroes and to find some cards and some spots.

I recorded a few significant hands and will C&P them from my contemporaneous notes.

Raise AJo utg to 300
2 callers, nick hicks st 3 and st8
Flop AJx cc
Bet 600 st8 calls
Turn 6 not club
Bet 1600 called
River k
Bet 2500 called by AQ :)

Lose to nick hicks BvB I call 68 flop pair & OESD call flop call A turn call 8 river he has A8 :(

Cold 4bet KK over nick hicks 3 bet
400 to 1350 I make it 2400, nick calls, Jxx ss flop he checks I bet 2700 he folds

Seat 1 raise to 875, me to 2000 QQ, he to 5100...
I flat, in position flop Axx ck ck
Turn J
He 8500 I pass

Raise AQdd to 1000 and get 3bet seat 7 to 2500 one caller back to me I f
flat. flop is K high and 3better leads seat 8 calls I fold
Seat 7 bets 15k covering seat 8 who eventually makes the call with KQ to beat 99

Raise K7dd seat 8 flats after thinking about it? Flop K x 4 I bet 1500  he calls
Turn 4 me 2500 he calls
River 7 me 5000 he folds AQdd face up, I show the 7

Shortly after... Seat 2 raises, seat 7 calls and it all goes ion a 567 flop
Seat 2 has JJ, seat 7, tilted... Has KQ and hits K on river...

250/500/50
Utg+1 seat 2 makes it 1200
Nick calls
I call with 66
Folds to seat 1 who calls
Flop... 6 10 6
Check check nick bets 2600
I call v v v slow
Seat 1 calls
Seat 2 folds
A turn checked round
Blank river checked to me 6100 both fold :(

300/600/75
Seat 2 to 1500
Me to 3200 A9spades
He flats
Flop 89x hh
He checks, me 3500 him 10k
Can"t see him with set or anything
I flat....
Turn Jh
Ck ck
River 9h
Chk chk
He has Jd and ..... Qh :(
Every time he put chips in he was behind.... FML

Donkey in seat 2 continues to outdraw me
He opens 89cc to 1600 at 400/800/100
I 3bet to 5000 AQdd
He flats and we check xx9xx hhhh board....

Reduced to c14k and eventually it folds to my button and I jam 6 8 only for SB to find A10 and hold...

My nemesis in Seat 2 accumulated a substantial stack having sat as an alternate 4hrs in. He opened his first hand in EP with Q4dd and called his stack off on the river having made a flush vs J5dd
He didn"t make day2... But then, neither did I :(

Back today for the incredible £100 which is a reload so effectively a £200

Not really looking for staking but if anyone who has staked me for this, or for any other tourney, wants a max of 5% at 1:1 I"ll pay the reg fee and thus 5% = £10

If I avoid the need to reload I"ll refund 50%

Payment by whatever method you"ve used before and no rush once you"ve said you want it.

Tournament is up and running with 151 entries so far

24 reloads and 2 and a bit levels left for entry/reload means the guarantee should be surpassed

We have average stack with no issues so far

I will cut off staking offers at the end of the entry/reload period which is 5pm

Obviously if I bust before then I"ll post here and wouldn"t accept the stake if it was offered post exit.  :)

You ran good sir

Out without troubling the scorers

Will return  the full stake on this one, the exit hand was somewhat self-inflicted...

At 1500/3000/400 utg opens to 10k from a stack of c100
I have AQhh and 3bet to 27k out of 80 anticipating a fold or an all in that I am calling off...
He confuses me by flatting and checks the Kh x x flop
I ship...
He has K 10 :(
A on turn :)
K on river :(

My bad ...
