Question..

All these posts on FB that say "post this for one hour" - WTF is that - If I posted a full stop it would be forever on my wall and on FB"s servers.....

I have asked Ger & Marie - they say "just post it" OK I could post it - but for 1 min 1 hour 1 day - I do not understand the phrase "Post this for one hour" - or the implied threat that I am of 1% (cos 99% won"t) - confused much - possibly but I reckon people post stuff and don"t think anyway. So intelligent people how do I post for a finite amount of time?

I really should know better - my car is low and I still park with the front over kerbs - then when I reverse after the air suspension has settled, I full the front off - Gaffa tape is great

Football is not my favourite sport, however it is the Wee Man's so I watch the odd game.

Sometimes it is good, sometimes not so good, one thing, however, is beginning to annoy me greatly. Player's who fall down and roll around in agony as if shot by a sniper in the stands.

Now, I"m not saying players never get injured in the course of a game. They do, and sometimes the injuries are not pretty. However, it doesn"t take Einstein to tell when one of these actual injuries has occurred, and when one is taking the moment to audition for a post-football life in the West End.

So who is to blame? I blame the referee or at least the association to which they belong. It's a fast game and sometimes the official has to make a split decision on the fly. So use the technology and punish the players after the event. Either from the 4th official or from a video panel after the game. Clear HD slow motion on our televisions can prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt when a player is faking it, which, sad to say, they are more often than not.

While I am on the subject of the poor referee. If anyone, other than the Captain, gets in the official's face screaming, book them. They will soon stop that crap.

I could go on but I leave you with this fine example of referee control.

Nigel Owens is a legend. All referees would do well to watch him in action.

I started smoking early in life. I stopped smoking when I played Senior Rugby. When I stopped playing I started smoking again. I have therefore been smoking probably for a period of 35 years.  Yesterday on the 9th June 2015 I stopped smoking real cigarettes. Ok I have cheated and am using an e-cig but it's a start. I have never really tried to give up seriously, I did try to give up once before a few years ago but didn't give it proper focus.

At this current time I am craving a cigarette and puffing on some vanilla concoction. It is not the same whatever anyone says. I have started with the highest nicotine content. I will attempt to lower this gradually until I hit zero.

I know my own limitations and do not expect much, however this is a serious attempt to quit at the age of 60.

Watch this withdrawal inflicted space....

We may have a situation here  ;D

I cracked open a couple of beers this evening (must have some sort of solace) and they taste different. Now it cannot be  the fact that after 24 hours my taste buds have miraculously fixed themselves. Sooo this could be a problem of monumental proportions.

I may have to experiment with different nefarious flavours. Giving up beer is NOT, I repeat NOT an option  ;D ;D

Obvious comment alert......

After a few bottles of San Miguel Fresca (Be proud JP) the taste returns.

Conclusion - Drink more than usual while on the electronic devices.......

There is always a silver lining  ;D
