Did you make sure you picked "any Belgian Station" otherwise you"ll have to get a ticket to Namur when you arrive at Brussels?

That must be at some godawful time in the morning.... :)

I think so/hope so... Can"t imagine it"s more than a tenner each way if not though....Leaving 8.04 getting into Brussels 11.05...

Have just booked the IBIS in town for 3 nights too payable on arrival. only 15 mins walk from the casino according to Google maps and slap bang in the centre of town.

Forgot to mention Loco2.com

Very useful site for booking from your local station to Namur (or anywhere) including Eurostar.

Shows you the steps of your journey too when you click the little arrow.

And there"s an Irish pub at Place de la Gare (neat the trainstation)

Ger would be all over that...but it"s the chic-est Irish pub I"ve ever seen.

Looks very likely I am flying into Brussels, arriving at around 1:30pm on the Friday.

Does anybody know there arrival times in Brussels yet? Worth planning a meet up at the airport I would have thought.

Still trying to think of something amusing to write in this bit.

Steve,

If you get enough that can meet up around the same time the APAT Belgium lads can lay on a mini-bus from the airport direct to the hotel.

I think there"s a post on it further upthread.

Otherwise, you"ll be getting a train I presume in which case, I think it"s about 30 minutes from the airport to Brussels Midi (also the Eurostar station) and then another hour or so to Namur.

I downloaded a "personal" timetable Brussels Midi - Namur which can be found: HERE.

Airport to Midi looks to be about every 15-20 minutes: Mini-timetable - HERE

The Belgian Rail site is excellent and even includes platform numbers etc.

I"ll be getting in Brussels a smidge after 2pm so we could meet at the station if you want.

I"m still waiting on Curlarge"s travel info when we can look at it as a potential group.

Rodders, JP and I are considering driving, but not decided for deffo yet. If we do you could get the train to Slough and jump in with us.

Road trip? This has possibilities I think. Long old drive though.

Correct, it"s up to 8 people so if you can get a group together, it"s the cheapest way to get to the hotel... Let me know if you need info!
