Well we are less than 47 hours now till the Stag do meet up - Pints will be ordered at 7:30 pm at london"s King Cross/St Pancreas Station with the Euro-star Leaving For Belgium at 8:30
The First Stop on the way is to Brussels - which i have heard is probably the most boring city in the World - Due to all the EU PC BS that comes out from there - but that is just the first port of call before we head on to our final destination Antwerp (not the usual city of choice of a stag party - but considering the Groom wanted to go to Doncaster??? It will be Heaven) the Home of Jeneveer! Gin to you and I and one of my Favourite tipples - even if it does either make me the nicest?horribilis person i know! but the GF wont be there so i will definitely be cracking on!!

When i get back - i have a poker plan - I need to earn enough money playing poker between now and the WACOP to be able to pay for my seats, Travel and Accommodation -

I will be entering all of the events and will have to pay for them out of Poker winnings - that means that by the time the events roll round - i will have to have enough money in poker accounts to be able to transfer this to my real money account or i will be selling the seats 1 by 1 - it is a bit harsh but me and the Mrs have come to the agreement - pay for the seats out of our money - and if you don"t pay it back with poker money then the seats must be sold!!

Harsh but fair - and as i only have a modest BR - $150 - it will be tough - but it is amazing how something like this focuses your play more!

I have been thinking about my WACOP challenge and how to go about it -

I currently have 2 BR"s online at the moment - One on BSq and one on Pacific - The one on BSq is purely for APAT online events so we can discount that from the challenge (unless i win a national) and that leaves me with about $160 to build on!

i have decided that the only way that i am gonna ever get this to around the $650, which should be enough at least to cover my Fees and Travel for all 3 events, is by grinding away at cash tables - and for me this means Micro Stakes - I plan on continue playing 2x 3/6c cash tables until i have ground out $50 profit to take the BR above $200 and then i shall move up stakes - i plan on playing at least two hours of cash a day and hopefully i can move up to the 5/10c cash tables by the March and then look to move up to the 12/25c as soon as i can get the BR above $350 -

What i plan to do is to purchase the seats and then Pay myself back out of the BR that i am grinding and if i Fail to reach my target then i will have to sell  the seats - so i am not actually loosing out on anything - except punishing myself for not being disciplined!!!

Current BR @ 07:14 = $157.85

thank you for inspiring me to get back playing poker and build a bankroll for a reason and play well.

The Stag do is over and done with and i am glad to say that i made it back with my liver and Kidneys intact, the Irish Bar in Antwerp does a lovely pint of Guinness!! but other than that Belgium is a HOLE - Brussels being one of the dirtiest cities that i have been too - but a good time was had by all - I even managed to win my Fare on the way over when we played a cash game on the Euro-star - and out flopped KK with my AK to win a 170 euro pot!

Luckily i booked the day off work today as i would have been in no fit state to do anything - Having spent the weekend drinking and eating about 1000 calories all weekend - i honestly feel F***ked - but at least it gives me a chance to put in a good few Hours for the WCAOP challange and i hope to push the BR above the $200 mark today - but we shall see!!

Current BR @ 08:49 = $164.72

I havent quite played as many hands today as i"d hoped!

I started to relapse into my hangover after about 30 hands and after a nap, a shower and a litre of water - i still feel like Crap!!

Hey ho - i"ll recover sufficently to be able to see what i am doing soon enough and then i"ll be back!

Current BR @ 16:02 = $168.81

(still managed to eek out a small profit - through the pain)

Its official - i have alcohol related poisoning!!! It is the first time that i have felt this bad since my uni days - but then as the saying goes your only a drink away from being sober and two from being Pissed!

So the BR challenge has taken a bit of a back seat for the last two days - while i have sat here apologising to my Kidneys and promising them a break,

But the Challenge is back on and i have just fired up a couple of Ring Games and it is time to crack on!

Gotta break the $200 mark!!

The BR at the end of this session Stood @ $179.12

The Poisoning is relenting...... But i still don"t feel great - shame my place of work doesn"t sympathise with me as much as i do myself!!

i did manage to play a bit yesterday and found a right fish who was spewing $$ all over the place but then he got abused by another player and left???? Some people just cant Keep Quiet can they!!??

I am now $20 away from the first land mark of $200 that i hoped to reach my the start of march and if i continue playing cautiously - i can see me getting there!! and as i have mentioned previously it is amazing what a challenge can do to focus you!

Now just need for Des to stop teasing us and to release the dates that the seats go on sale and hope that i can Click-fest in - or my efforts will be in vain!

I still haven"t managed to Crack the $200 mark - The BR has taken a bit of a hit and i haven"t been putting in the hours - I just haven"t been feeling myself for the last couple of weeks and what with my specs needing an upgrade i haven"t been able to look at a PC for too long - which is bit of a pain as far as work is concerned!

But now that the WCOAP schedule has been announced i now have 5 month to get to my Target figure - which is now slightly adjusted to just cover the Buy ins - So $450 - $500 should just about do it - but i am also now just thinking about playing the HORSE and the ME (I"d like to play the Omaha - but it is just a bit Awkward with the need to book that extra night in a hotel!) - so I have a new impetus to build the BR - which currently stands @ $176 plus a bit of change!!!

Now i just need to get through a couple of click fests and all will be good! Day 1a for me - probably - maybe if i play the Omaha.........

I cant seem to do anything right at the moment - i decided to take a night off from the Cash games last night and play a few MTT"s - well that was the plan - I am going fairly well in the first one Managed to Chip up to about 6k without any real dramas - but then i get stacked - by a horrible play by the button when i am in the sb and flop top 2 (i had raised from the SB  wit  :as: js) and then lead out for the pot to be called by the Button, who then again Calls the turn (blank) when i bet the Pot - only to hit the gutshot draw on the river that he was hoping to fill!!!! Very next Hand i am all in for about 1200 after a limp (blinds 150 - 300 if i remember) with QQ and get Called by the Limper with AQ only for the turn to seal my fate with an Ace - So i am Tilting and off goes the PC!!!

At least the (dead) Money is in place for the WCOAP seats - £200 might not be a lot of money too some but it is too me for what i essentially see as entertainment (plus the other costs involved in playing Away from London), I"m just glad that Tanya is the one who holds the purse strings or I"d be POLO by now! and wouldnt be able to play (ever)!

I am getting excited about the WCOAP and Just hope that i can secure seats for all of the events! by Hook or by Crook as they say - I"ll be there!!

Just one other thing - I think i have been playing reasonably well in the League games, probably a bit tight - but generally OK, and if anyone has anything to add - or any notes about me then i would appreciate any comments about the way i play or where i can improve - we are all "amateurs" after All.

GL all ;D ;D

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington Chemistry Mid Term Exam.

The answer by one student was so "profound", that the professor shared it with his colleagues via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well:

Bonus Question:

Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle"s Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time.

So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave.

Therefore, no souls are leaving.

As for how many souls are entering Hell, let"s look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.

Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle"s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at whichsouls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you," and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over.

The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct......leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God."

made me chuckle -  ;D ;D

I"d Just like to say a big thank you to James "eck" Eccles - who after my whinge that started this blog offered to lend me the Book "winning Poker Tournaments One hand at a Time" WPT mag top five tourney strategy Books!

And it has arrived this morning - Once finished the book will be returned. with a little surprise for James to show my gratitude

The reason why i am mentioning this is it epitomises the APAT spirit and reminds me that why i am a member. some body i don"t know takes time (and Money - postage isn"t cheap) to help me out and you cant find these people just anywhere!

once again thanks "eck" and I"ll let you all know if/how the book helps my game!

Good Luck all - See you at the WCOAP - if i ever get that BR moving that is!!
