WSOP 2009 schedule announced...
« on: January 26, 2009, 14:38:09 PM »
Suprisingly [to me anyway], it seems the WSOP website is not the place to look for breaking news about the WSOP!!!

The 2009 schedule is available on the ESPN website - http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/poker/news/story?id=3860083
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

Panic over then everyone.

Looks like once you"ve made it down to be one of the "November Nine", you have two days to get back to the UK to play in the APAT Scottish National in Edninburgh.

It"s good to know that the major powers in world poker are speaking to each other to ensure there are minimal tournament clashes.   ;D

Thanks for that Rio - been waiting for them to be announced to get my hotel and flights booked.  Unfortunately the Seniors event (which Richard and I will be doing) and the Razz event are on the same day....

Was hoping to enter the Razz... but will have to give it a miss.

And why the ladies event has to be sooooo early is beyond me...

Just need to win a satellite to get into the main event and then I"d be really happy lol

5 hrs (levels) is a long time to make 3k chips last - lev 5 is 25/150/300 - as I have found twice!! You might be able to play both!  ::)

apparently no rebuys this year, an effort to stop high rollers "buying" a bracelet
Looking forward to making my first day 2

No rebuys is a good thing IMO. Means all players start on a level setting if you get me.

Gonna try and satty in to ME somehow, either that or just give up for another year!

While being very unlikely, if I somehow manage to win the APAT in Walsall or score $4k online you shall see me here:

Wed, Jun 10th  No-Limit Hold'em Shootout (1,000 player max) (Event 22) $1,500

Sun, Jun 14th   Pot-Limit Omaha (Event 30)   $2,500

Thats great news.... I may consider playing now.... no way was I going to miss the Scottish National     (well that"s assuming I get a seat :-[)
How can you call that.... you should have bet more...... I was all-in...... well you should have had more to bet.

Ah well, I need to make $4k before worrying about trivial things like getting a seat :D ... this one was only hold "em event that really appealed to me though, at a realistically attainable level for me buy in wise  :(
