Super Cooler ...

63spades in the big blind (I flat call the raise) ... flop A63 all clubs ... 2/3 a pot bet ... which I flat call ... turn is a 3 ... for the house ... all my money is going in now ... turn brings a fourth club ... but entirely academic as the original raiser holds AA ...

Super Donkey limp reverses good work ... QQ into T77 ... BB Q7 ...

Enough ... time to contemplate the cinema ... what nonsense and/or illusions can be found.

... so the cinema where I watched "Four Lion" ... highly recommended if you want to see how to mix Terrorism and comedy ... they somehow manage it ... in a laugh out loud classic mixed with people being blown to pieces ...

Anyway ... today is another day ... and my mother is cooking Halibut ... (the most religious of fish) ... if I allow my mind to drift ... I reach out to a wall chart of Lobsters (and similar beasts).

Aside : According to the Guinness World Records, the largest lobster was caught in Nova Scotia, Canada, and weighed 20.15 kilograms (44.4 lb) ... not how is that going to fit in a pot ... who actually caught this ... and what with?

If I put my mind back in its box ... I see Poker ... a room full of people flipping coins ... in the next room monkeys look to re-write Shakespeare ... they haven"t made it yet ...

In a further room - sits James Lovelock explaining the Gaia principle to the powers at be - who upon contemplation suggest that you drive 5 miles less a week ...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaia_hypothesis

... probably time to sleep ...

2nd of 98 ... epic heads up vs Dan Owston ... he held the edge ... but about 50 mins to get to a winner ...

Last hand A6s vs AQ ...

Yes it was a good match up ... A6s ahead of a lot of Dan"s range ... but he played it well ...

Yes - poker is sick ... I got lucky with K9s shoved into AK ...

Looking forward to Aberdeen and Notts ... not yet found a rationale for going to Vienna!

14th of 88 in the Eyes Wide Shut ... sizeable chip leader early ... had to call with 77 vs various including and AA ... and TJ (which won) ... then AK vs AJ (river spike) ... then A9 shoved into QQ ...

Looked like a second final table ... but to no avail.

I am King Lear
(My paws are weak my hair is grey ...)

I stood on the Calton Hill last night and absorbed Beautiful Edinburgh beneath - it"s a great place.

(Maybe with caveats like the poker chips at the Maybury!?!)

Could be time for a day off ... or conversely to throw myself back into the swirling market and make some money ...

Shuffle up and deal ...
