Rather enjoying this wander into PLO

Session II +$392

Was a little more up but felt obliged to call a short stack with top two pair and the flush draw ... correctly deducing they held AA but also a J to have turned the straight ... mmm.

Time for air ...

PLO Session 3

It never lasts does it ... -$200

QQxx into Q7x ... all the money goes in with my opponent holding 77 ... turn gives a flush draw ... but the river is a 7 for quads ...

Pleased with most of my play thus far ... but obviously no escape from the above ...

You"ve got to win your races to win tournaments ...

89th of 4751 in the Sunday Warm Up - $1235 back

Lost a big pot with TT vs AT (and earlier JJ vs 88) - so had to battle with my short stack ... got doubled up with a reasonable shove QJs vs AK (in the BB) ... but lost with 77 vs A9s ... just as it was getting interesting!

4 cashes in a row in tournaments ... hopefully this bodes with for the Black Belt Live next weekend ...

Was pleased with some of my earlier folds ... perhaps waited an orbit too many before my QJs shove ...

As usual not much inspired play to view - just card racks and suck outs - standard.

Great run Louis and nice cash. Gutted you couldn"t kick on for the big money.

Some savage blows ... but it is the nature of the beast!

It buys another 6 attempts to slay it ...

Played some hilarious Omaha for a minor profit ...

$1/2 with a 40 cent ante ... heads up deep stack ... I got well ahead ... but then hit against a card rack opponent ... run to the hills ...

It was actually a six pack table ... but no takers ... beyond a fleeting cameo from an opponent who donked off $200 in about 5 mins ... not too me ... sadly ...

Funny gambling day to day in that I forgot Sri Lanka were playing ... I backed them at 4/1 and sold back to the market at 5/4 ... I hope they win the world cup ... but they might well just fall short ... so £193 profit very pleasing ...

Could well be time to sit on my hands until the national with these funds!

It"s the classic dilemma - take the money or sweat the final ... I used to always let these things run ... but these days I take a view.

It was great to close out Gary Anderson pre final earlier in the year.

Sri Lanka back out to 6/4 ... it"s a okay bet ... but if they lost their openers I think they would struggle ... will re ponder it.

I am liking the idea of a mega punt on the national ...

Very up and down Omaha session ... ended up -$111 ... mainly due to AAxx (doubled suited) losing to the re-raising KQ43 ... he was short enough that they had to call my re-raise ... and a start KQx flop sweep up half my chips ... oh well ... classic Omaha ...

Looking forward to finding a suitable tournament and playing it small ball ...

Morning Gambles

Decided to have a little interested in Sri Lanka (1/4 of profit taken)
A little on Villa to get relegated - Houllier to fold under pressure - I would enjoy this - small bet.

Black Belt Live to follow ...

Obviously a great field - but feeling good about it - last 4 tournaments played - I have cashed - just the usual hope for cards to stand up and to have some nice match ups!
