They do try their best to get people in ... small fields not ideal but normally good poker.

Normally for their 2pm tournaments - they give a free burger and drink if you get there on time.

Free Beer - I think they are doing the same for the Cup Final.

Thursday night - about 80 for £50 freezeout - and similar for Saturday night £100 freezeout (actually usually a few more).

All tournaments are dealer dealt.

Here we go again ... spin the wheel ... where will it stop.

Break 1 in the $20k

15th of 98 from 151 - running okay - was third - took on some small stacks with 55 and AT.

1st Round of Betfair $1m Freeroll.

9th from 73 from 492 - 18 qualify.

Oh ******.

$20k g"tee - flopped a set - opponent had flopped a straight.

Betfair million freeroll - flopped a full house - lost to a bigger one on the turn.

Both hands I was holding 66 ... both times 41st ...

RT +$2065

Time for a little break ... really sick running ... I don"t recall have a week when I run this sick the other way around!

Poker Gods are weird things ... the minute you decide to take a break things like the following happen:

My mate just mailed through the he won the $1k Bellagio Cup - "only" 48 runners - so $14k (and the trophy).

He also took a $3,500 chop in the 70 runner - $340 event the night before.

Oddly Mark is the cash game expert in "my" home game - great work.

My original plan had been to be in Vegas at the moment for the early events.

Giving up my job made me more prudent ... and hence not at the show ... mmm

Glorious sunshine in London and my mindset was early to bed (midnight) and early to rise ...

Errr ... I woke up properly at 12.30pm ... what is going on?

Played football last night ... and in the classic style my touch was terrible ... but finishing pretty spot on ... I think my fatness creates a very strong base for shooting from ...

I think I will do my books ... and assess what I think my poker funds and strategy are ...

No poker thoughts kind of blown up ...

Pottered about during the day and playing the Betfair $20k g"tee.

RT +$1,942 plus any winnings.

Break 1

43rd of 94 from 138 at break 1.

Betting on Diversity over Susan Boyle in the BGT final ... reality/talent show betting can be good ... favourites get turned over ... but not sure how big a public vote remains with Boyle over the greater talents ...

Made it to 10th of 30 ... then blew up ...

LAG player raises UTG ...

Flop gives me two pair ... he continuations bets ... I push ...

He has the top two pair ... mmm. QJo - UTG raise blinds 150/300 (25) - raise to only 760 - I call with Q7s in the BB

Flop QJ7

Felt ahead ... was for the chip lead in the tournament ... QJ kills me again ...

I am pretty sure he would have done the same with AA,KK,AQ ...

Sometimes ABC poker serves you better ...

Donked off $55 in the Betfair Eyes Wide Shut ...

... and $100 cash ...

RT +$1,847.

Weird to keep a blog ... it certainly reduces leakages ... but doesn"t eliminate them.

Time for bed ...

Hot and bothered in the city.

Note to self ... quit donking ... look into FULL TILT TV tournaments ...

Sunday morning.

I feel hungover when I donk chips off ... it"s not tilt ... just boredom (I think) ... I try to make showbiz plays ... and fishy calls ...I know it is wrong but it will give me pleasure ... rather like drinking loads of doubles ... somewhere in there you brain says go to bed ... and slowly you get better at doing so ...

Now I will have to punish myself by playing STT"s ... and grind back up ... well unless the Sunday Warm Up goes well ...

The alternative is drinking loads of Pimms in the sun ... (well one of the options).
