Played Sat to the 200 pound freeze out ... came 3rd from 16 for the hilarious money back option ...

Paid in direct - so into the red!!!!

RT -$52

Got to the last three and no cards ... no deal possible for 210,210,30 ... fair enough ... my rival short stack gets AQ vs KJ paid from large stack ... so I have to call J8s the next hand ... again vs AQ ... AA on the board ... comedy J on the river ...

I am looking forward to looking back at this blog in the future post a big win ... played some pretty good poker to lose $3k profits over the last x weeks ...

Maybe the worm turns tonight ...

Hope it"s going well, and the field is bigger than the 16 (from memory) last week.

... well of course I came 5th of 15! ... 4th got their money back ...

I had nothing to play with in terms of starting hands ... everything came with a 2 ... though I did bet and win when my A2o spike a 2 on the turn!

I spent 3.5 hours between 6-12k (starting 10k) ... then perhaps let one orbit too many go ... only to wake up with AA in the BB.

A8 duly bet at me ... so maybe just maybe I could bounce back from the ropes.

Next hand 9To in the SB ... I limp ... BB limps ...

Flop Q9x rainbow ... I decide to check raise ... I have 10k behind blinds 800/1600 Ante 200.

I check - he raises - I go all in - He thinks for a long time (perhaps my tight image) but make the (obvious) call with Q3 - sick!

I could have folded (of course) or gone all in - but still the short stack so I think you have to make something happen??

Not really playing to get £200 back - but perhaps I should!

Terribly small field but good banter - and good players - two of the final table have Main Event seats - neither sure they are going to play - kinda weird - but $12k is $12k - I guess.

One of the guys at the final table told of his dream of having an island with a woman from every nationality on it (as his wife) ... another of his fancy for Martina Hingis ... I think the former sold the latter a ticket to his island ... fair play ...

Not sure what poker comes next??

Tales of the Bubble Boy ... 6th of 25 today (bubble) ... when in BB with 64 ... flop is 763 ... UTG has limped 1500/3000 blinds. I have 11000 behind. I fear the big hand ... but he checks I I check for the straight ... turn is a 7 ... he checks ... I got all in ... and joys of joys I have run into ACES ...

So last 4 things I have played here are Bubble, Bubble, Consolation, Consolation ... this is so sick ... I have entered a state of poker delerium.

RT -$105.

Should be around 70 runner £50 freezeout tonight ... mmm ...

There is a cash game going ... double mmm ...

RT -$252

New ways to lose ... Cash games TT vs TT vs AJ (who catches the nut flush) ...

£50+5+5 freezeout ... lose to bigger flush ... then choose to fold flush draw vs two others (as it is a baby one) ... which would have hit and won.

Have no starting hands for 80 mins ... (44,33,AJ) ... get in the blinds ... hit the flop and get out kicked ... beautiful.

Perhaps a bit limpy in the freezeout tonight ... day off tomorrow.

Louis

Shuffle up and deal ... it"s Sunday after all.

I think I am going to play the Sunday Warm up - but a few hours to qualify which would be nice.

London - hot and sticky and I think set to get worse on Monday and Tuesday (when I escape back to Scotland).

Hungry insects have eaten my legs.

My friday night football was agricultural, my dancing yesterday less so ... I think that is a positive trend.

... Sunday so far adopting the classic formula ... play good ... get bad beaten ...

The latest a KQ into Qxx (two hearts) called by A(heart)7off ... for a runner - runner flush.

RT -$275

In the Double Shoot Outs

Played 14
Heads up 6
Final Table 3
Bad Beats (Not races) at end 7! (3 on the ticket Bubble!)
Minor Cashes 1 $8.70
Tickets ZERO.

Horrible record ... but only a ticket to win to be ahead.

RT -$568 plus and returns from the Pokerstars $200k g"tee.

Warm Up started badly ... recovered ... lost a race with TT ... then had to fold (correctly) with JJ flat called by AQ - Axx flop.

Then got involved in a battle of the blinds ... K8o vs TT (of course) ... but no complaints ... ironically my rivered flush losing to his rivered full house.

... could do with a cash ... smile.
