... where did you finish?

... anything happening in Sheffield Jan 4th-7th ... will be busy with work but in Sheffield ...

Louis

7th last night, although 1st day back at work tomorrow so won"t be venturing in it tonight.

With regards Sheffield, the new G casino has recently opened, I"ve yet to pay it a visit so don"t know the schedule but hear its currently self dealt regardless. If you"re still in that neck of the woods on the 9th, there is the new £50 deepstack an hour down the road at DTD, apparently same structure as the 20/20 weekend, I imagine it will be meet its 270 cap though, so best to reg online.

Min raise ... I push back with 33 ... called by 9Ts ... marginal/bad call (though large stack) ... straight on the turn ... sigh ...

Not really running at the moment ...

RT +$161

Hate Villa and Liverpool ... love Hull and Bolton (though I probably bottled it taking profits at 80 mins)

Looks like a $162 tournament tee"d up for tomorrow.

Lose it an I lose a dollar on the year ... win it ... and go quietly crazy!?!

RT +$106

QQ into A9 ... in the Eyes Wide shut for 44th of 135 ... annoying as had to fold first 20 hands ...

Quite a spicy cash game on the go though $.5/1 ... $100 max buy in and the rest of the table has given up!

$100 into $577 ... Ding Ding ... RT +$583 ... unless someone comes to play me soon ...

... "funny" to get the card rush I have been craving on a cash table ... in 136 hands I had 4 nut flushes ... it was ridiculous ... was pleased to call three bluffing bullets with QQ into Axx ... the villain doing a buy in with only runner runner draws ... (KQ) ...

Busy at work today ... and I have the type of to do list which is getting longer ... quite a few people at work.

The Snow has been washed away ... and it looks a lot more like spring ... I am batting on a 7 day excercise streak ... no weight gain over Christmas would be amazing ...

Looking forward to a decent Pokerstars tournament tonight ... stand KK vs A4 exit ... I presume ...

Back to the $.5/1 table ...

Massive escape with JJ

Pot raised and flat called in front ... I re-raise and get flat called behind ... orignal raiser all in and has me covered ... flat caller behind calls with KQ ... vs surprise surprise AA ... which holds AJx flop ...

No escape though when allowed to limp with 25s ... flop 22T ... money in on the river after two bricks ... vs A2 ... mmm ..

Now the short-stack I raise with 56s ... flush draw on the flop it is all going in albeit in two stages ... river flush and just about back to parity ... vs two straights ... quite a promising table if I can get going ...

... right got my record back ... and did some super gym work ...

I have been dawdling along at 10mins for 2km ... (on my crosstrainer)

But today went pretty flat out for 8mins 33 followed by 8mins 27 with 1 min 27 rest in the middle ... will build it up ...

Eight days in a row sensation ...

$50k g"tee about to kick off ... only 3000 chips but very slow structure (though 12 min levels) ...

Could be a late one ... I hope so ... RED BULL has arrived.

RT +$852

60th of 651 in the $162 NL on Stars ... button QT into AA in the small blind for a tedious minor cash ...

Very good structure ... was lucky A4 vs A9 ...

Table in middle phase was loaded with players but not cards always looking to recover ...

A lot of redbull flying about might not be trivial to sleep ... Cash?

RT +$901

Hard to believe someone caught a flush versus my two pairs ... but a little progress made ...

Bedtime ... weird mini Christmas spell ... 2010 time to take down something big ...

Dec 31st ... who would have thought we would have gotten here!?

Thinking back to last night"s tournament I also had a ATs push into JJ which I won ... so sufficient luck when money in the middle ... it was a 2-1 win really ... I think that is how I am going to rate tournaments going forward ... a league table for 2010.

So many minor finishes ... but there will be people out there without those who played well ... (and those with decent wins who won just one more race or JJ vs 99 when it mattered ...)

Resolutions ... just do the weight it is easy ... I think at the start of this blog I was 15 stone 4 ... I am now 15 stone 12 ... from which I will deduce that I have eaten 8 pies too many ...

Today will be day 9 in a row on the gym ... which is pretty strong ... day 10 will be tricky but an "Ice Walk" may sort me out ... might not even be icy ... defo spring here ... my lions have come to life!

A tour bus has just driven past my window called "Memory Lane" ... does it specialise in going to places that you have already been ... foolish I would guess ... I remember the time I had AK ... which turns me to the tables ...and as luck would have it there is a $10k g"tee about to start on Stars ... $33 in ... Shuffle up and deal ...

RT +$884 with the $20k g"tee on Pokerstars in play ...

I am 105th of 709 left ... going for my third (MUST NOT BE MINOR) cash in a row ...

Nice finish to the year as I was expecting to be +/-$1 ... could still happen but that would be careless ...

RT +$800

Moved up to $1/2 ... standard a lot better ... and I became weak ... rubbish but escaped with a $84 loss ...

That might be it for 2009 ...

Ding Ding ... Merrily on High ... Have a good one ...
