Super weird last session of the year ... I played super loose hoping to get paid when I had the cards ... worked okay ... AA raise ... fold ... fold ... standard ... albeit by luck ...

I then got all in TT vs QQ and spiked the river ... then QQ stood up vs AK ... now in great position ... I manage to DONK OFF $98 on a misclick ... well miss bet ... I meant to bet $1.11 ... instead shock horror $111 ... into a JKQ flop with my 55 ... FOLD FOLD FOLD FOLD ... ah ... you have flopped the straight ... and a New Year"s gift ... oh well ... another thing on the long list of things you do once ...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year!

I managed to surface just before midday ... a good night of singing ...

I feel a bit dazed to be honest ... too dazed to play poker?

Official weight : 15 stone 12
Natural weight : 12 stone

A belly full of butter and next dinner starts at 4pm .... ARGH!

Perhaps a lightly spiced parsnip soup will sort me out?

I fielded my first work email of the year at 1.39am ... bodes well ... first of c10,000 I expect ... so if I make each one worth a dollar then WSOP Main Event here I come ... not sure that it actually works that way ... but it should ...

I am not sure what my poker strategy is for 2010??

Win something big ... I could be writing that for years to come ...

Have a good one.

Louis

Cash : The flip side of the coin ... 99 as overpair vs 222 and AK into AQx vs 222 ... only one buy in between the two ... could have folded the AK to save $58 ... mmm

Eyes Wide Shut to follow ...

FPP "freeroll" for 4 * $215 seats ... managed 7th of 57 ... 66 vs QQ (vs A9) when 7 handed and short ...

Enjoying Preston 7 Colchester 0

Decided to make a few New Year resolutions ...

1. Get Sky Plus
2. Get a decent music system
3. Get a flatscreen TV (or 2 or 3)

I think these are realistic ...

6pm Kick Off on Stars ... choice of a $109 - 40k g"tee - 15 mins or $320 - 100k g"tee - 20 mins ... mmm

The Official Weigh in .... Honeybadger 15 stone 8 ... wow a net 3lb loss for the Christmas period ... how did that happen?

12 days solid excercise vs 12 days solid eating ... a rare win for the gym ...

A great set up for January ... what a result!

Travelling today ... with no delays the Sunday Warm Up will be mighty tempting ...

Warm Up - got a good start JJ vs 99

Had no cards for so long ... had to fold 44 and 22 to re-raises

Got killed in the blinds A8s vs 79o ... straight on the river ... sigh!

Darts time ... Whitlock FTW ... SHOWBIZ.

Day 1 of the business year - Sheffield.

The big long month of January begins ... almost twice as long as Feb!

Looking forward to it ... poker therapy in the evenings?

Decide to have a quick run at the $60k g"tee $10 re-buy on Stars ... got in for free through a FPP sat ...

AK vs JJ win ...

AK vs A6 loss ... and good-bye ... after the fourth re-raise you really cannot expect A6 to be ahead ... but little matter when the 6 comes flying out ...

Quick and nasty ...

Aside - I managed to start a "rowing" blog today ... OMG ... how can this happen ... day 13 in the gym was good ... though rowing really kills you.

Looking forward to improving tomorrow.
