Attack attack ... too much attack ... nowhere in a $45k g"tee on Stars ... a slow battle to defeat heads up for $90 ...

A poor gambling weekend ...

Not too long until poker again ... looking forward to my debut in the Pro League ...

Today has been the absurd 5am-8pm (and still) working ... okay there was a nice lunch in there ... but it"s a long time to have your brain on for ...

"When" I am rich I will attribute it partly to the ability to concentrate as developed playing poker ...

Ironically I can hardly concentrate at all when I am playing poker ... trying for hero plays and nonsense ...

Not sure that is best suited to playing Pot Limit with a 40 min clock ... but I can but try!

The tedious and pathetic election broadcast is over ... a little cash for me ... played too loose ... but got paid ... then drifted back to parity ...

Fair play to Clegg though he is playing QQ vs J9s (Brown) vs XYo (Cameron) ... Cameron is playing any two cards (depending on the question) ...

The presenter (whose name I cannot be bothered recalling) was poor ... I would have preferred Alan Whicker (for example) ...

As a complete aside I was thinking about the greatest TV battle of all time ... Songs of Praise vs Highway ...

Or magazine wars. Shoot v Goal. Shoot always won, they took over every other mag, the title would change to Shoot and Goal, then Shoot inc Goal, and then two weeks later be just Shoot!

Another week ... and a good start +$397 cash session ...

Pro League to follow ... with the "ridiculous/genius" inclusion of John Tabatabai ...

I like this line of form the best :

Feeling pretty beat up at the moment ... work ... work ... work ... and then football last night ... nothing in tank for first 25 mins ... then came a bit onto a game ... calves both kicked ... three pints of Guinness not a long lasting cure ... my brain forcing me up at 7am ... sick ... could be a lot of red bull if I run good ...

Pro League Event - 8th of 30 - running AK into TT and getting no help ...

An interesting tournament - I came with a plan - to play as many hand as possible in the first two levels - managed to hit virtually nothing - hence half stacked at the first break ... soon after JJ vs 99 gets me back to par but never really having the cards or stack to get ahead ...

Next at risk moment is JJ vs 88 ... eliminating Charles Sanderson ...

Still getting nowhere fast but a KT vs J7 blindfest brings me to the edge of the final table.

Playing short-stacked and 5 handed tricky ... so tough to put down A4 vs the re-raise (Andrew Tracey"s 9s)

So short stack for the final table ... I raise with 88 which is folded to me ...

I then pick but AJo - raise is re-raised - perhaps I should call hear but fear being dominated ...

Decision looks okay when AK soon arrives but after a flat call and a re-raise whilst I have to call delighted to be in a race with some bonus chips - but no help - so exit and interview - mmm

Short lived cash game ... I raise with KK ... all fold ...
I raise with J9s ... and get five callers ... relly need a short handed table so better to grab a taxi and run ...

Best APAT for me - and in terms of atmosphere spot on - well played the chiefs!

A weak cash session this morning - playing aggressively but hitting nothing.

More thoughts later today ...

Not sure when the next scheduled poker is ...

June 12th - £200 freezeout in Carlisle favourite
June 19th - £250 Pro League in Aberdeen - bit of a trek - though not looked at flights yet ... mmm

Yes - you too.

Are you heading to Aberdeen? Not sure I will make it but no doubt catch up soon enough!

Minor cash win - should have been $400 better ...

Two pairs and the flush draw vs top pair ... which then pairs the board for $400 pot on the river ... sigh!
