hey guys im new to this site and seen there is a scottish event happening july 18th

i seen that it says you can buy in directly on june 18th is this the first time you are able to purchase your seat(excluding sats)

thanks

Hey boys im new to this 2. whts the best time to turn up on the 18th july to purchase a seat???? is it allways full??

If you turn up on the day, the best you can hope for is to be on the alternates list, whcih means you can buy in if any players get knocked out in the first two levels.  That can be anything from 0-4 players.

If you want to play in this event, you really need to have your seat sorted in adance, by either

Qualifying through satellites on Blue Square (15th, 16th, 17th June)

or

Buying in direct from www.apat.com (18th June)

Folks,
What is the capacity of the Maybury and where does that stand with regards to all other APAT Live Nationals.

It"s the smallest venue at 130 seats.

Glasses fine.  Hoods are okay too, some casinos have a rule of only wearing them in the poker room though.

You"ll be fine.

Irvine01 I presume ... ? I noticed you as a new face at the tables last night. Welcome to APAT, I"m sure you will enjoy your time here.

It"s called a Clickfest as it"s "fastest finger first". For Scotland, it"ll be around 200 people clicking for around 100 seats and it"ll be all over by 21:02 / 21:03. So get prepared. :)

yeah thanks man i had won $250 on pokerstars earlier yesterday and thought with 10,000 starting chips the online scottish event was to good to pass up i played real well and quite solid  :) tried to pick the pace up later on and just got real unlucky to a one outer but hey ho. this forum looks real good and everyone seems to know everyone  :D i really want to try start participating in all the live apat events. iv"e been playing poker for a good few years now and won a reasonable amount of money but just at local pubs and the Circus, I played in the ECOOP M/E last week which was a really good deepstack slow paced tourney. But never played in any sponsored events before but think i have the talent to play so heres hoping i get a ticket. it sucks that the scottish event is the smallest  ??? do you have to keep refreshing ur page at like 8:59 in order for the link to pop up? do the longer standing members have a better chance than me or is it first come first serve?

Thanks  8)  :as: kh

The best way of refreshing the screen in F5 and everyone has an equal chance of getting in.

As you have not done one of these before, here"s some tips.

When the link becomes active, it will take you to a screen to enter your name, you then click a button and it takes you to a payment screen.  Here you enter all the normal details (Name, address, card details etc.)  It is debit cards only, I am afraid.  Once all that info is in, you click submit (or something like that) and as long as all the details you have entered are correct, that is when your order gets time stamped.

It is first come, first served, and once the seats are gone, the link is removed.  Usually about 3mins.  If you are unlucky not to get a seat, you can always start pleading on the seat exchange thread, or turn up early on the day of the event at the casino and get your name down as an alternate.  Any players knocked out in the first two levels can be replaced with a new player.

Hope that helps.
