Cricket Betting
« on: July 31, 2009, 11:14:39 AM »
England 8.6
Australia 5.1
Draw 1.45

Not convinced Australia should be favourites!?!

Onions - a great first over

Lots of weather to dodge but I fancy England at that price.

Thoughts.

It all depends on if they will be any play tomorrow. If not then the draw is nailed on. If yes then i would prefer to be with England than Aus

England 13

the odds are tempting but with 163 on the board with 3 wickets down in day two, its a draw

Down to a more realistic

England 6.6
Australia 5
Draw 1.51

Onions should have just got another LBW ... ball swinging ... I expect Australia will be bowled out by 4.30pm.

Mmm - Lunch 203-8

England 3.5
Australia 4.9
Draw 1.93

Session 77-7 ... posing the interesting issue of how England are going to bat with the ball moving about.

Tempting to take profits ... or chop the down side.

Pondering ...

Welcome back to the scary world of spread betting.

England 1st Inns 320-340 runs.

I don"t fancy England to make 320 in the 1st Inns - or at least to be behind par today.

A long time since I have spread bet but selling at 320 looks good to me.

I thought the quote would be more 250-270 ... we shall see ... danger of conditions changing tomorrow so will be ready to close.

Bopara ... what a shocker of a drop ...

I don't follow spread betting, if you sell at 320 and they get 250 what does that mean?

At the moment I have £1 a run that England score less than 320.

e.g.

If they score 250 I get £70.

If they score 400 I lose £80.

All super scary stuff - but I can close position if getting too scary!

Current position is 311-326 runs - so I could close for a £6 loss.

Slightly worrying lack of swing at the moment.

Memories of Spread Betting flooding back.

Just far too stressful when things not happening.

Australia look so lacklustre(except their spinner) - annoying to have taken profit on England as backed this morning.

Closed England 1st Inns - overall -£37 on the day cricket bets ... ridiculous!

Current Odds:

England 4.1
Australia 7.2
Draw 1.59

Time to chill and watch the third session ... Strauss looks good ... Bopara looks like he will give his wicket away ...

I better keep away from this, sounds expensive if you get on the wrong end of it

... yes very volatile ... tremendous when you have bought a score or batsmen and they are cracking 4s ...

Every shot winning money - but need to get to par first!

I thought Australia might make inroads but they really are poor.

Good old Bopara gave his wicket away one ball too late to save me £35.

I have money on Strauss being top scorer for England which is looking okay.

I guess all said and done the DRAW is still the big favourite.

... got back on this morning for England to score less than 334.5 (2 bets @ slightly different prices)

Bell has cost me money before ... and looks like he will over take Strauss for top scorer ... gauling that he was so plum LBW.

Weird dead rubber feel about the game.

Bell playing round his pads again ... lovely ball ...

Spread on Flintoff is 25-29 runs ...

Flintoff scares me ...

.... what is even scarier is how bad Watson is ... as Boycott would say "Military Medium" ...

Bets close at a loss ...

1-0 to the ENG-GER-LAND ... fair play ... hats off ...

At the start of the series I bet on England ... first Test changed my mind ... and now I correctly suffer ...

If Strauss is top scorer minor profit on the day ... would be an escape.
