G Casino
Bury New Road
2 Ramsgate Street
Manchester, M8 9SG

Casino: 0161 831 6370

DRESS CODE

Clean and tidy dress is strongly recommended. No football shirts, no ripped jeans, no tracksuit bottoms. Regular Jeans and Trainers are fine.  Hoodies can be worn in the cardroom, but you will not be allowed to have the hood up elsewhere within the casino.

REGISTRATION

Will be available at the venue from 12.30pm.

Players will have to register with the casino prior to being able to play in this event.  Registration can be made via this online link.  We actively encourage every APAT member to turn up as early as possible at the casino as you will have to complete your registration at the reception.

Players can leave the venue after registration providing they are back in their allocated seats by 2.15pm (for a 2.30pm start).  In keeping with the new regulations, players not in their seat at the start of the event will still be able to play.

Please note that any friends or family members that wish to accompany you into the Casino will also have to complete a Casino Member Application Form.

Registration is only available to individuals aged 18 years of age and older, with a valid proof of identification.

IDENTIFICATION

Please bring a valid Passport or Drivers License.  If you do not have one of those, then a credit card AND recent utility bill will suffice.  Your guests will also need to bring a similar proof of identity.

If you cannot present valid identification to the Casino, you will not be allowed to enter the premises.

SCHEDULE

This event will run over two days.  Play commences at 2.30pm sharp on both.

Play is expected to finish at around 1.30am on day one.  Players left in will return for a 2.30pm start on Sunday, with the final expected to finish around 10.00pm that evening.

Due to the nature of tournament Poker, end of day timings are estimated.

PRIZES

Team Championship:

1st - £2,000 and the engraved UK Team Championship Cup.

The owner of the winning team will also receive an added prize of £1,000 after the event via their Blue Square account.

2nd - £1,200.

3rd - £800.

APAT recommends that each team prize is split equally amongst competing team members.  However, this is ultimately the decision of each team and where a team chooses to agree a different structure, it is essential that agreement is reached by all members of the team prior to the event starting.

Individual Championship:

1st - £1,250 and Gold Medal and GUKPT Package.

The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour package comprises an expenses paid entry to a GUKPT event.  The GUKPT package is worth in the region of £1,060.

2nd - £750 and Silver Medal.

3rd - £500 and Bronze Medal.

4th to 9th - £250 each.

Alternates will not be allowed to enter this event.

Please note that all entrance fees will be paid out in prize money.  APAT will not retain any fee for running this event for our members.

The prize fund outlined above is subject to 160 paid entries at £50.00 per player.

EVENT SCORING

The UK Team Championship will be determined by player points earned by the top 25% of the field.  The 40th finishing player will receive 1 point for his / her Team, the 39th 2 points and onwards, with the winner of the event securing 40 points for his / her Team.  The team with the most cumulative points will be crowned UK Team Champions 2010.

STRUCTURE

The event will be run under the standard APAT Tournament Structure, with each player starting with 10,000 chips on a 45 minute clock throughout.

BUFFET

A free buffet will be laid on for competing players on day one and for the finalists on day two.

PRESS

Journalists and a photographer will be present on both days.  We hope to feature a number of images from the tournament on our website soon after the event.

By entering this tournament you accept that your image may be used in APAT press and marketing campaigns.

Team Pictures with the Championship Cup will be captured at the venue between 1pm and 2pm on the first day of play.  Captains should organise their teams to be present for this shoot as these images will be used to promote the winning team in the poker press after the event.

LIVE UPDATE

Technology allowing, APAT intend to run a live update on the event and we will be posting player pictures, video interviews and chip counts throughout the weekend.  Feel free to tell your friends and family, who can follow your progress on the forum.  Guests will need to register on the forum to see pictures from the event.  Registration is free.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please note the event is subject to the terms & conditions of the APAT Poker Association & Tour.

Collusion will not be allowed under any circumstances and any players found to be soft playing against team mates will be penalised.

All players must be a member of the APAT Poker Association & Tour before the event starts.  Free membership can be found via the home page of www.apat.com.

FINALLY...

As a member of the Poker Association, we would like you to be aware of your role in our collective responsibility to ensure that the weekend is memorable for every participant, and not just the winning team at the end.  We would appreciate you doing your bit to ensure that every player comes away having had the best possible tournament experience.

It only remains for all of us at APAT to wish every player the best of luck in the event.
