John Terry
« on: February 05, 2010, 16:43:53 PM »
Has been sacked as Captain....Rio made Vice captain.

Maybe just me, but how can Rio be vice captain....?

is something that is away from football worse than a failure to take a drug test within the Football domain?

Whilst I have said previously captain is all about being respected, which he would have lost that from some of the England squad, so his position as captain became untenable.

But making Rio capt could be seen as hypacritical?

I don"t understand why Stevie G isn"t captain. He"s as good a captain for Liverpool as John Terry is for Chelsea. imo they are two of the best club captains in the world, and we are lucky enough to have them both in the same national team.

Do agree, Stevie G is now vice capt which is something....so when Rio is suspended for the final, Stevie can lift the cup!   ;D

Lol, have they made Rio Ferdinand captain of England!  That"s ridiculous, Terry was the best man for the job and removing him over this is completely bonkers (no pun) in my opinion.

Not forgetting that rio has been injury prone all season and is not even guaranteed to make the world cup.

I think the john terry decision is also to do with his other dodgy dealings rather than just his affairs

Could be the start of a series of implosions for the England team.

Totally agree that terry should have been dropped as captain, not just for is under the sheet goins on but also the under the table backhanders he has been found out about at chelsea, as to Rio as capt   ???, I"m a utd supporter and I don"t think he should have been made captain , Steven Gerrard is the man even if he plays for liverpool  ;D ;D ;D

just make wooney captain or maybe ummmm... Tom Huddleston, not that I biased or anything. third choice would obv be lewdly king but then we would need an arm band for the wheel chair too.
