I was supposed to do Jury service a couple of years ago but due to work I was unable to attend. It was the Coroners court (is that spelt right) the trial lasted 3 months  :P

So far so good, no jury duty yet  ;D

On another matter, just looking at the London Live thread reminded me of APAT World Final at The Vic in 2008. Someone on the thread is mentioning celeb spotting so please don"t make the mistake I made of being drunk when I met Willie Chan (obv Tann)  :D

Sorry Willie, I can only blame the fact that the old firm game was shown earlier that day on the casino big screen.

Ah well, last night finished 26th and back to same old story of only variance actually coming in my direction in later stages is that of which particular side of my groin I"m actually gonna get kicked  :o

Exit hand last night a prime example, with the guy on my left raising any preflop limpers and guy 2 to his left mopping up any that he misses I deliberately limped in cut off with AQ at 125/250 with 3.7k. Guy on my left duly obliges to raise to 1k every1 folds and I shove the lot. He calls and I caught him with Q9  ;) Happy Happy happy, very unhappy when 9 hit river  :"(

Got up to 8k earlier on in game after my early double up with my over pair JJ which ended up becoming the straight flush and a set of 6"s that got paid off nicely, then had a sick hand that donked a fair stack of my chips. Again another JJ which i raised with pre flop and got called. Flop came JQK so i bet out and get flatted, turn came K and same pattern of play so i"m now a bit concerned about a bigger boat. I check called on river when a ******* Q came down and found villain with K 10  >:(

Back to hitting great drives again only to end up in the sand, but onwards to next game happy that it"s not how I"m playing, just bad old rotten luck.

Finally sorted out my bankroll at Betfair and deposited $300 in 888 and played my first game on their site last night. Missed first 45 minutes as i wasn"t home from work yet then settled down with my 3k chips with blinds at 40/80. Watched a few hands to get a feel for it and saw an ugly amount of limping preflop, generally 6/7 handed with nobody having a clue where they were after the flop.

First hand I played in cut off had  8c  9c with 2 limpers already in so raised it up 3*, button and one of limpers called me. Lovely bingo flop of  7c  ts  jc   ;) , action goes check, I bet 480, button min raises to 960, EP folds and in went my remaining 2.2k chips. Button calls flips 10/7 and spikes another 10 to send me packing  :D

Very short and not very sweet, but a good taste of what maybe in store on 888.

Very unlucky Grant. If I had a fiver for every time I"ve been rivered on 888 I could retire. Oh wait...  :D

Played the Newcastle sat last night and got up to around 10k at one point before running AA into 88 on an 8 high all hearts flop with the ace in my hand. All went in and the 8"s held so left me pretty short. Shoved in open spot about 10 mins later with A6 and ran into AK behind. Well done to the 4 who binked a seat, look forward to seeing you all down there  8)
Played my first 888 cash table last night but kept it low at 5c/10c as I"ve limited my deposit and hope to build my account. Started with $10 and finished with $36+ so happy with return and will dabble further again tonight.

playing my first PLo game on 888 to brush off the cobwebs before Newcastle. Currently 9th of 25 from 89 runners so happy with play thus far. Blinds up every 10 mins so will get going again pretty soon I imagine

Finished my PLO tourney in 19th last night and doubled my $10 buy in on a PLO cash table. Worthwhile exercise to get some play in and sharpen up the skills before the Home Internationals. Now to league business tonight  ;D

Been playing some PLO cash for practice before Newcastle but decided to play $11 MTT on 888 tonight for a change. Made my first 888 FT from 251 runners so happy with my play and see where it goes from here  8)

Finished 5th for $198, fairly happy with result despite having a calling station ARCMike on my left, floating every raise I made and getting lucky (e.g. raise with 66 he calls pre and calls 3/4 bet on a J/10/10 flop turn brings another J and he couterfeits me with 8/9  >:(

Still happy with result and almost doubled my new 888 account ;D

Great time at the Home International 1st day, won some and lost some but got a few points on the board for the team and happy with my play over all (no brromsticks required lol). Looking forward to day 2, good fun regardless of outcome but hope we can take it down. Brilliant catching up with all the APAT gang again  8)
