Notebook and pen at the table is OK IMO.

If anyone asks what you are doing just tell them it"s for your new book.  ;D

My understanding of the rules is that you can make as many notes as you like at the table but are not allowed to refer to them during a hand.

Unlucky yesterday, hope you enjoyed the experience and can at least remember being there.  ;)

;D

It"s a clear memory generally speaking but if you were to ask me in a few months time, I wouldn"t be so sure!

don"t beat yourself up about the kings hand, jamming flop/turn only achieves one thing - worse fold and you get called when you are beat only - shame someone caught up but chances of an underpair catching are really low.

Can"t really follow the KJ hand, as described he caught a runner runner flush but wtf did he c/c the flop with in that case, pretty sure i don"t fold trips anyway without a sound read.

standard is pretty bad in that tourney generally with a couple of dozen really good players sprinkled in (imo) and i would play it every month if i could, certainly nothing to be nervous about.

prob wouldn"t have a notepad at table, don"t really see the point - maybe save really interesting hands for discussion in your phone or something
Looking forward to making my first day 2

Brilliant, brilliant win by the Tigers yesterday over our neighbours Northampton. We"ve opened up a 6 point lead over them but have played two games more. However, a bird in the hand etc.

JP Round, David Steele, Stanley Unwin, your boys took...

No, I can"t do it. Rich Stevenson would rip me to bits.

So, correct me if I"m wrong & reading between the lines, if you saw me with a notepad you"d think I was a nob ;D

Always a worry obv.

wouldn"t quite go that far but some might see you as a bit of a novice (whether that is good or bad i dunno) but just seems a pain in the arse to do this while playing - spose its easier if you only play one hand a level

Bless your heart Leigh. Ger"s sent me a link to one but I haven"t had chance to have a proper look yet. It"s from the flopturnriver.com website - not the same one is it? I would expect it"s probably a bespoke one you"ve conjured up yourself - I"d certainly be interested to have a look. Just worried how much I"ll be able to take in or remember in Spain ;D.

Right. It"s a league Sunday and it"s time to get my sarnies made for work and my salad prepped ready to be stuffed down at the 1st break. Then it"s time to rally the troops for the last game of the season.

The outcome of the promotion spots was all decided last time. Luton have the formality of winning the title. Hopefully Notts can secure 2nd.

The Notts Player of the Season trophy is still very much up for grabs with, I think from memory (gl with that), 6 players still in with a shout.
