If Jack is like me Jon, don"t think he will be playing much other than holdem donkaments. Doubt he will have that much variation in the games he plays. If he is like me I normally play same 3 tourneys with a couple of speed/turbo"s fired in later if I bust early. I understand what you are saying but doubt there will be much to gain except the thrill of another well maintained spreadsheet. A search on sharkscope will tell you your profit which is pretty much all you need imo but will also give you ROI and your ROI by buy in amount if you want. Would be really surprised to see many leaks identified by a spreadsheet that I wasn"t aware of tbh.

APAT Notts finished off another successful season in style with Bainn winning last night"s last league game. This secured the runner-up spot in the league for us which ensured back-to-back promotions.

APAT Notts players won an amazing 6 of the 10 tourneys, including all of the last three.

It seems changes are afoot for the coming, new season. I can obviously understand why. I just hope they aren"t too far reaching and we can have some continuity from the previous formats.

Tweaking ftw!

Well I"ve still not got my@rse into gear as regards trying to get myself edumercated about this here poker nonsense. But I have realised that I certainly DO need to learn a bit more about the game as I"m prone to making some basic errors.

I think I"m gonna set aside one night a week to do a bit of reading. Although I"ve ordered three of the books that have been recommended to me (thanks fellas), I"m gonna start with Harrington 1 as I think it"ll give me a good underpinning first. And if it"s old school, so much the better, cos so am I!

What I"m struggling with at the minute is trying to find time to read or even play. Since Christmas, all I seem to have done is read diaries on here and on blonde!

No poker again tonight and I"m off to watch "The King"s Speech" tomorrow night after reading a glowing report from our Media Director.

As Claw"s given me the go-ahead to rip off her music vid posts in her blonde diary, here"s my first selection.

It"s from Elvis Costello. It was bound to be really. I first got into the former Declan Patrick MacManus as a callow youth of 15, very nearly 32 years - THIRTY-TWO (wow!) years ago! This was just after his iconic album Armed Forces was released.

I"ve been to see him in concert probably half a dozen or so times but not for a very long time now. I think I ought to add it to my 2011 (/12?) goals to catch up with him live again.

He"s just released his 32nd studio album - National Ransom - which is his now trademark eclectic mix of innumerable musical styles.

My current fave, which always entails cranking the stereo up a notch, is Bullets For The New-Born King - a folky ditty.

This isn"t the best recording to say the least but it"s the only one I could find:

BULLETS FOR THE NEW-BORN KING

No one looks in this place for motive or any hope
But for the dead shot of an amber glass
The blue light of a votive

The rain obscured the window
As the pain was dulled by the grains
Absolved in spoons and flames
In fear in time dissolving

It's not for the faint of pulse
Or anybody false
Those amateurs who only shed their skin
So where are those traitors now, we once called patriots?
Just like those saints who seem to revel in their sins

O my eyes were filled with tears that were stinging
After our assassin's work was done
But hands and bells are only there for the wringing
As we were bringing bullets for the new-born king

The trumpet sounds lamenting
Trampling down the blooms of the deceased
The double agent girl and the fallen priest were heading for the border

Somewhere at the high command there stayed the palest hand
That saw the order countermand
Erased a tape recorder and then they hung him from a window cord

Swallow down that voodoo vial to still your breath a while
Before we spill this tale that has been spun
And so I shall now confide all that I once denied
Oh I'm so sorry for the things I've done

O my eyes were filled with tears that were stinging
After our assassin's work was done
But hands and bells are only there for the wringing
As we were bringing bullet for the new-born king

I may just be the greatest.

No, not the pokerz. Obv.

I am in the habit of having porridge for breakfast with a handful of sultanas and a pureed banana mixed in.

On Saturday night I had a couple of glasses of my Baileys Christmas box. This only left a drop.

This morning I had the inspired urge to empty the Baileys" dregs into my brekkie.

ZOMG!

Possibly the greatest breakfast ever.

At the risk of getting into trouble for mentioning poker on the weekend as somebody in with a chance of getting the top ranking, what would that mean to you to achieve this? Is it a consideration going into the tournament for you?

Still trying to think of something amusing to write in this bit.

Well.

As my ramblings on here have shown, I"m very much punching above my weight to be in third position in the live rankings going into the last event of the season. I certainly enjoyed my time at the top of the rankings too. Obviously, I"d love to bink a decent points result in Lloret and overhaul Darren and yourself but I"d also be a tad embarrassed as my abilities are somewhat less than my results would imply.

Doesn"t mean I won"t be trying like hell though!
