The Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) was founded on August 1st, 2006, when it launched the UK’s first national poker tour. Since then, APAT has run multi-day National Amateur Championship poker tournaments in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the United States of America.
APAT acquired the poker.co.uk online business in 2012 and the UK’s second largest pub poker league (LPPL) in 2013. This has enabled APAT to provide high quality pub, casino and online poker experiences to a membership of over 80,000 players. The organisation has an industry experienced team responsible for managing its live & online operations and marketing.
With 200 local tournaments weekly, over 50 national tournaments annually and a wide array of online tournaments, APAT is one of the world’s largest organisations with a core focus on recreational players.
