WHO ARE YOU?

Alan Lake

POST A PICTURE OF YOURSELF OR A LINK TO ONE (APAT OR OTHER)

WHERE DO YOU COME FROM?

Witney

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF?

Married, with 27 yr old daughter... worked for BT since me and my dad were boys!

WHAT IS YOUR POKER BACKGROUND?

Started playing online about 3 years ago, not too much live experience. Nearest casino with a card room is about 35 miles, been there once!

WHAT IS YOUR PLAYING STYLE?

You will have to work that out for yourselves!  ;)

WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE POKER PLAYER AND WHY?

Need to think about this!!!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ONLINE POKER SITE AND WHAT IS YOUR POKER ID THERE?

I can"t really say I have a favourite... I"ll play wherever they have a tournament that I like the look of. Currently, have a bit of money in PokerStars (smacl02) and Betfair (MagicAl).

WHAT ARE YOUR POKER ACHIEVEMENTS?

PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up, Feb 2010 - 1st of 4557 for $142,982.61  ;D
WSOP 2007, Event #38, $1500 NLHE - 212th of 2778 for $3602  ;D
APAT Online 2007, S American Open - 1st of 154 for $924 and Gold Medal

WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE ABOUT LIVE POKER CURRENTLY, THAT YOU WOULD CHANGE?

iPods, Sunglasses and Hoodies... Have you got any idea what you look like!!  ;D

HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT APAT?

APAT found me!

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT APAT TOURNAMENTS, STANDARD OF PLAY AND STRUCTURE?

On the whole excellent events and a pretty decent standard. As for the structure, I would welcome the inclusion of a 150/300 level, even at the expense of the 75/150 if need be. I would also like to see antes introduced, to give it more of a "big tournament" feel and experience.

HAVE YOU PLAYED AT AN APAT LIVE EVENT AND IF SO, WHAT WAS MOST MEMORABLE ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE?

Yes, Newcastle & Dublin... Memorable - the other two members of "The Witney (inc. Carterton) Mob" doing better than me... Rich Stevenson, 18th in Newcastle and Paul Townsend, 3rd in Dublin.  :)

WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN INTERESTS OUTSIDE OF POKER?

Family, Dogs and Golf.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK OR FILM?

Book - Not much of a reader, but Amarillo Slim In A World Of Fat People is a good read.
Film - Schindler"s List

WHAT THREE MUSIC ALBUMS WOULD YOU TAKE TO A DESERT ISLAND WITH YOU?

Crossroads - Tracy Chapman
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John
Piece By Piece - Katie Melua

FINALLY, WHAT MESSAGE WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEAVE FOR YOUR FELLOW APAT MEMBERS?

Don"t take it too seriously... enjoy the APAT tournaments... and if I push, Call, I"m probably bluffing!!  ::)

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.
