Hi all.
Main reason for lack of updates has been that nothing of any interest has been going on in my life since the last entry! Am however playing my first live poker since January this weekend.... heading up to DTD and should get there in time to play the 150 bounty event tomorrow night and will also play the £330 on Saturday. Looking forward to getting back to playing and am expecting to increase volume over the next few months. Joe and Danny are up there playing the 770 event so I"ll watch their progress while I"m there.
Coventry booked, entry paid and hotel (Ricoh) sorted. Arriving Friday of course :D Might have to bring the Coventry duck as my card protector ;D Looking forward to meeting up with the usual suspects...
Vegas hotels booked for late June/early July - settled on 4 nights at the Golden Nugget and 10 at Harrahs. just need to bink a few quid now to buld the bankroll.
Will post a trip reort from DTD..... can I stay focused, stay sober and not donk hundreds of bb"s off with KQ? Time will tell....

Arrived at dtd and already achieved something today. After many years of being confused i"ve finally worked out what meatloaf was on about when he said "but i wont do that".

Right, time to kick start the blog again. The APAT site was down for a while, then my laptop blew up, and I"ve also spent a bit of time in Ireland. Not played much poker - I bubbled the APAT Coventry event when I ran AQ into Paul Mc"G"s AA, and also played the Black Belt event in Stratford and played really badly to exit early.
Been a good start to the year with the Greyhounds in Ireland. Bought a couple of baby pups last year and they have both started running and are both open class already. Had 6 wins already this year and we"re currently top of the private trainers table at Limerick. You can go years in the dog game without much success - it"s similar to poker in that regard, so when the good times come you need to enjoy them. Fingers crossed for more success.
Back to the poker and I"m really looking forward to getting back out there. Have to miss Cardiff this weekend, but I"m going to DTD for their WSOP warm up weekend on 1 June. My Vegas trip is now only 5 weeks away, and I"m further enthused by the fact that the Golden Nugget has a 24 hour International Beer Bar which sounds a good place to chill after busting out of the tournies! I"m spending my first 4 nights downtown this year which will be a change.
Had a great weekend - it was Dannys 21st birthday celebration and we had a family Chinese meal and some great banter. Joe and Danny are heading out to Vegas for 4 weeks and staying at Palms, so they"ll be there when I arrive which is great. They fly out 4 weeks Friday so I"ll be following their wsop progress and will update on here.
Sorry to be missing this weekend but will follow the updates and good luck to all taking place. Also well done to all the International team captains I did play for England last year and the best advice I can offer is don"t do what I did and call when a team mate has gone all in. Sorry Don ;D ;D
