Q. How does it reward the TEAM if only the top 3 scoring players in the team get any reward?

--- End quote ---

We haven"t put the Terms thread up yet as has been mentioned elsewhere.  We will have a clause that a percentage of any winnings from the live events goes back to the team in ratio to the points that players have earned over the season.

--- End quote ---

Thanks Des. That"s exactly what I hoped the answer would be. Suggest 50% to the player, 50% to the team (excluding the player) on a ratio basis.

That"s a LOT of prize money to give away.

The team as a whole might give the added value winners the opportunity of playing in those extra tournaments - but if they then go on to cash or even win those tournaments I don"t think you could say that half of it is down to their team mates.

Why not Jon? They probably scored way less than half the points that the team scored to get them there. If they were in a region on their own they wouldn"t get there. So on that basis it"s probably a raw deal on the rest of the team to only get 50% of the winnings  ;D

Even if the rest of the team contributed as high as 80% of the effort to get the winner in to the added value tournament.
They will have contributed 0% of the effort to get that player into the cash/win in the tournament itself

So their reward should be 0.8 x 0.0 = 0% surely?

They should be grateful for getting anything higher ;D

Fantastic arrangement, albeit with a lil sad token to lose Luton Poker Club

Luton"s loss will be a bonus for whatever team you sign for Waz. You did them credit and led from the front, you were inspiring to your fellow team members.

Theres no doubt that the team you sign for will consider themselves lucky to get such a great guy.

Are you sure that you have no Geordie ancestors born any where near, Newcastle, Sunderland or Stockton.  ;)
Good luck

This is a TEAM event - the whole concept is team oriented, and it just happens that the highest placed players in a team win the opportunity to represent their team at the live event..... it could be argued that should he cash, the entire winnings are distributed to all team members on a pro-rata basis according to points contributed (and the player who represented the team in the live event and secured the cash gets his share according to the points total that he scored).

Of course, the player who wins the individual tally should not split his winnings - he has won that for Individual recognition and not team performance.

Actually...they might chose (or be required) to represent another team entirely.
