That looks spot on Des.  Gives everyone something to play for and retains the strong team element as well.

Looking forward to it.

AMRN:
Much more palatable. Would be an arse if 9 members of a team capitulated, but one member finished 2nd.... he/she would win nothing (other than side bets) and that isn"t really what the game is about, even if it is primarily a team event.  Giving the opportunity to at least win back the entry fee and cover hotel costs is ideal.

Awesome!

Kudos to the APAT guys for getting this addressed so quickly. Very impressive  ;D. Very nice to see an organisation that listens to its members.

Really looking forward to this! See you guys there!

Des,

I know you"ve said that in the spirit of the game there is to be no soft playing or collusion however with the money being quite significant isn"t this going to be an issue in the tourney?

Are there gonna be any special rules in place to ensure this doesn"t happen?

I think the fact there are individual prizes makes collusion less likely (and less beneficial to those who"d be tempted).

But I"d be interested to hear what else can be done to prevent/reduce collusion.

I"d also be interested in what sort of collusion people are/could be worried about in this tournament.
