Points system

Ant1966:
I was going to reply to this earlier, but was waiting on Des to post first.APAT alway"s have their ears to the ground and alway"s listen to feedback.I kinda guessed that season 3 would be re-structred to take into account some low turnouts in the North east and South West.

It was getting that bad the weekend Graham and Gordon were both trying to buy beers with APAT medals, they had that many in their pockets!! ;)

Swinebag:
I pretty much agree with everything you posted mikeyboy.

What I would say though; if the points system was changed then Gordon and Graeme would have next to no chance of winning a regional title, purely because they play in small fields, and that is not their fault.

On another thread, I have suggested that points be allocated based on a formula that uses number of runners and the size of the buy in. This is similar to the method that works out the UK rankings printed in PP mag.

I"m sure there are plenty of counter arguments to this as well.

Ant1966:
Duckworth and Lewis?

Of course it"s their fault. How stupid to try and play poker in a small field - they should try playing in a casino instead!!   ;D
