Good morning Namur!

In the weekend"s opening event we saw NAKP founder Mathijs Jonkers, who also FT-ed a WPT Amsterdam Side Event 2 weeks ago, winning the Turbo Bounty event, ahead of Bjorn Anthonis and online canon Koen De Groote.

Bjorn and Koen will both play the Main Event tomorrow, but Mathijs will be in the field today.

On the list of pre-registrations, we are seeing a bunch of familiar names; we will make sure to follow them throughout the day:

Play will begin at 15:00, with a 15.000 stack and 45 min blinds. We"ll be expecting to play around 11 levels today.
Last year"s Day 1A attracted 90-ish players; we should be able to beat this number today; even with the DSO Saint-Amand scheduled for this weekend.

We"ll go around the room to look for familiar faces. We should have around 80 players at the start...

10 minutes into the tournament we have our first big hand... With Q5x on the board, the chips go into the middle with QQ vs 55. The player with the fives is crippled, while one of the NAKP players is the early chipleader.

Queens isn"t the best hand today!

Kim Collyns just came and told us that he busted the Main Event with his Queens versus a flushdraw who got there on the river.

He will think about a re-entry so maybe will see him again in a later level.
