This one seems to have been going on for ever. It"s still not finished, but our last player, Anthony Zinno, has just fallen in 8th place. I saw Zinno get picked in a pre-Series survey as the player most likely to disappoint this time. But he reached five final tables last year and won a bracelet, so this guy can play. Even if he doesn"t match that, you gotta back him to do well. And what has happened? We have only reached Event 6 and Boom - there he is on the final table, from over two thousand starters. The man got class.
Zinno on the final table, looking like he has had a tough day
I see Ross Boatman cashed in this, along with the afore-mentioned Joe Laming and, I am delighted to report, so did my idol, S.Quint, finishing 155th. Others cashing included Carlos Colon, Athanasios Polychronopoulos and Jonathan Vanwinkle!

What a final table! Look at the top five, from the top - Ryan D"Angelo, John Monnette, Tom Franklin, Dan Kelly, Konstantin Maslak. They all have 30-40 WSOP cashes, they all have multiple final tables notched up and every one, apart from the winner, has a previous bracelet or two. Back they came, and did it again. And what do we do (me included)? All pile into the same few well-known players. So lots of us have Kelly, and no-one has any of the others, with equally good records.
Just an observation, but what do I know? I didn"t even have Kelly!

Heads-Up specialist Busquet did well for Dann and Glenn but, as set out above, this wasn"t our best event.
