Pollock's second PLO bracelet and 12 points for Paxo with Jumanji. The final table also included Bleznick and Galfond. It's a bit surprising that no-one has picked three-time bracelet winner Galfond.

This event went on so long they had to add not just an extra day, but extra levels. They players outlasted the blind structure, which had to be rejigged. There was a key hand with three players left, when two of them shoved on the flop and Todd Dreyer, who had both the others covered, reluctantly folded. It turned out they both had straight and flush draws, and his higher flush draw would have won the lot right there.
Also on the final table was 'Captain' Tom Franklin, who won a bracelet in 1999 and has put it on eBay for $50k, many times more than has been raised by more landmark bracelets previously. Tom has had numerous 2nds, 3rds and 4ths since the win but will have to wait a bit longer for a replacement if the bracelet sells. He used to be quite a well-known figure in poker circles, though claims of sexual harassment, which included one casino withdrawing all female dealers part-way through his own tournament, The Tom Franklin Invitational, have taken the shine off a bit.

Michael Sopko takes his third-place elimination in his stride

Song got the gong, so it's a win-win for us - Laplante has repaid his supporters' faith with lots of points, but he didn't snag the bracelet, so we don't have to hear another over-emotional winner's speech. But look where Hellmuth finished, and Deeb. How do these guys do it?

Former ice-hockey pro Greg Mueller won two bracelets in 11 days in 2009, and then had to wait ten years for another. Again there was a key hand with three players left, when Mueller went with his read on Sammartino and got all-in with bottom pair on the flop, and he was right as Sammartino just had a double gutter. Mueller's hand held for a double-up and it went on from there.
Points for those who selected Sammartino and Clements.
Mueller - an excellent analyst of body language
