Following player feedback from the UK Online Championship, we are pleased to announce that the APAT Live Championship tournament structure will be utilised for APAT Online Championship events going forward, starting with the Welsh Online Championship on February 21st.
Online Championship events will run with antes and the only point of difference will be 12 minute levels as opposed to 45 minute levels.

will you be delivering us all pizza to make up for the lack of buffet ;)

Strange how live the structure seems to allow for lots of play , but online ( albeit slightly less hands/level) it seems to turn into a donkament too soon.
I add my vote to the 15min/level group, seems reasonable on a Sat night

It is strange indeed - I reckon it demonstrates that there is a different "play attitude" between the two formats, particularly early on.
Consider that in a live game we get through an average of say 20 hands per hour - in a 45 minutes lvel that equates to 15 hands per level. In the online game we get through around 75 hands per hour, and with 12 minute levels that equates to 15 hands per level.
My point is that last night the structures and level timings were actually identical to the live game at Walsall....... yet I agree that the game was just completely different. Perhaps that"s just a natural difference between live and online that we have to accept?
