Wedding lasts 4 days ... which is quite weird ...
Day 1 - lost a dance off to a 70? year old - amazing guy.

I played 4 hands of limit poker (by mistake obviously) and lost $4 ... connection is playable for fun ... and "free" ... but by the time tonight"s APAT starts I will have been up for 17 hours ... could be a bit of a slog.
Sunday and Kenya slightly different from Sunday in Southgate/Cummertrees.
On Safari by 8.30am local time - at the Tsavo East Park which is 90 mins (ish) drive from Mombasa
My 11.30am - spotters list including.
Elephants
Giraffes
Lions
A leopard
Buffalos
Zebra
... something called a Heartbeast ... which was my favourite ... large antelope with a Heart Shaped head.
Lots of other minor beasts to boot ...
Gazelles - very soothing.
We then went to a Masai tribal village which was slightly strange but fun to dance with a Warrior - not sure what they do with the hard cash?
Home to dinner now at out beach hotel - not sure what is on the menu - though pretty much curried out following 4 days of wedding.
The Vegetarian Thali were amazing - but my stomach grows each day!
Fabulous to see and be part of an authentic Kenyan/Indian wedding ... amazingly I was entrusted as one of the carriers of the bride (in a wooden boat - a Dhow) into the wedding "arena".
Brides must have been dropped!
Heavy boat - narrow spaces - recipe for disaster!?
We are staying in Mombasa for another week - but very ready to chill out.

Doha Airport:
50/50 for standby flight to London.
Kenya a great place - but once Kenya Airways goes on strike - have got involved in a series of coin flips in our bid to get home.
We lost the first to miss connecting flight by about an hour.
We "won" the second Nairobi to Doha - about 5 mins to spare - not quite the last on the plane.
Not too keen on a night in the airport - fingers crossed.
No poker ...

... well I won my Doha coin flip ... so home a mere 25 hours late ... a tie for my worst delay with a Baltimore to Edinburgh trip about 9 years ago.
Weird to come back to football season in play ... plan was to sit with the previews and get some bets on yesterday.
Looking forward to seeing some highlights ... can Arsenal fly the traps?

Golf bet winning sensation.
Yang putting in a tremendous last round versus the Tiger - who couldn"t hole a put - get the demons in his head.
Lost a bit on Spurs vs Liverpool - can live with that.
Liverpool very poor.
Spurs looked pretty solid but I expect with get exposed at the back once King gets injured.
Nice to be up early and in the UK.
