BAD RUN = BAD PLAYER ?
nosey-p:
How long do you have to be on a bad run, before you are classed as a bad player?
I have been playing for about 3 years. Starting from a £20 deposit, I have never had to reload. Starting with $2 STT I have worked my way up to playing $20 / $30. I use the profit from the STT to enter MTT, when I cash in them, that's my profit. I have dun this for 2 ½ years with some good results. But now I can not even cash in a STT never mind winning one. It's been like this now for 6 months does this mean I am a bad player?
Over all I am still a winning player by about £5000 but the last 6 month I have seen my bank roll disappear (not the £5000 that's what I have withdrawn) does this make me a bad player? I am now back down to playing $5 STT and still loosing. (A can not afford the buy in for the apat's ;D)
Was I lucky for 2 ½ years and that I have always been a bad player?
As my game change, thinking that I was better than I really am?
Is this just variance?
Is there a difference between an unlucky player and a bad player?
Can anybody suggest a new game for me to play as one more month of this and its buy buy poker and hello tidily winks
At what point does a ban run make you a bad player?

A Couple of points to consider.
Firstly you need to evalulate your own plays, and if necessary break your game back down to basics. Have you given yourself a complete break from poker (a couple of wees at least!)
What hands are you losing chips with? are there particular hands that get you into trouble? (I used to have a major problem with pkt 9s)
Do you adjust your play to the level/buy-in you are playing at? Plays that work well at higher levels can sometimes fail miserably at lower levels.
Do you use any tracker software? if so, have you studied the most important stats - YOURS!
Do you have any books, do you read and reread them regulary?
I hope the above is helpful. ;D

Wayne, you"ve won an APAT online event and come second twice (I believe ?) - those are not the results of a bad player.
The only thing I can suggest is join in our home games before your luck changes ;D
In all seriousness, Biffa"s comments are worth looking at. It could also be that you"re not doing anything wrong at all. You"ve got to remember that you can still lose games without doing anything wrong.
