Hi All,

I want to take my poker to the next level, I have been playing a little while now and want to know the best way of learning/working out pot odds and percentages.
Are there any really good sites that can help with this?
How important do you think this is for progressing your game?

hi dude. Professional no limit poker by sunny mehta et al has a great pot odds table in appendix. I will edit post to show it when on computer, posting from mobly at the mo.

I also have a spreadsheet which uses conditional formatting to help with memorizing pot odds, basically you type value in correctly and u can see figure, if its not correct u can"t see it. Imo only bother with like 3 to 10 outs. Pretty weird, I was bragging about it other day and I still don"t know my pot odds properly. fml I iz failing life.  Pm me email and I"ll buzz it over.

EDIT: (On computer now) table below, hope doesnt come out spazy, this partic one includes gives an opponent any 2 random cards as does appendix in PNL. Any good poker book will have a a decent section on pot odds. Once you grasp the basic mechanics its pretty simples. I am not sure how much of a % you should place on pot odds in MTT.... theres better players on here to answer that for you. Heads up in the place to practice imo.

Note: Its just worth memorising pot odds imo if you"re going to engrave anything.

A simples method for % is to use 4 and 2 rule.

Outs x 4 for flop
Outs x 2 for Turn

Pot odds?  B****ks get your chips in man and don"t spare the horses.

Alternatively, the Harrington books I still think are the best tournament poker books around even if they were written before the game was invaded by thousands of Scandinavians with testicles that have barely descended.

Also think the Phil Gordon books are good; easily digestible, good to read on the toilet and so on.
