I have just spent the last hour reading through the updates.  Its so different when the updates are about yourself.

Congratulations to Gareth on the win.  Thoroughly nice guy. Played well all weekend.

Many thanks to all supporters (you included George lol)...

On day 2, I was involved in a lot of hands, massive come-back when I should have gone out in 11th place and left with 4k chips on 6k blinds..  Who would have thought 10 mins later I"d have 160k chips...!!!

Best APAT weekend for me... obv...  I will do a little report of the weekend when I get home Tuesday.

BTW.. I played the in-house tournament here at Aspers on Friday night, came 5th, 6 were paid, so that was a nice start to the weekend... Tonight I play at the new Le Croupier opening night event at Cardiff, so lets see if I can make a hat-trick of cahses this weekend...

Cheers
Carl.

Well played Carl,it looked like u were out at 1 stage but u was left with a massive 4k in chips, lol with the blinds at 3k for 6k and the next hand if im right u was utg allin with J 6 against AJ only for u to flop the magic 6 and from there on u went allin again and again and had 1 split pot but no 1 cud knock u out,wp and all the best and well done to Gareth on keeping the title in Wales, and big thanks to apat for a great weekend!!!

PantsMan:
Pleased with my first APAT final table and happy with 7th after going into day two with just 8 big blinds and being on the table with all the biggest stacks (and the best players, and eventual winners).

Managed to run it up to 150k and if my queens had held up against Carls AK it may have all been very different but c"est la vie. Although he was running so good i should have folded even if i"d looked down to see aces!  ;)

Pleasure to play with all of you and congratulations to Gareth on the win. I was sat beside him for a good few hours at the end of day one, all of day two and on the final table.  Nice guy and played well. Well done to Carl, 2nd place from down to 4k in chips is awesome! If proof were needed that "chip and a chair is true", Carl is living proof!

A big thanks to my fellow BCPC team mates for railing me, as always had a great laugh with you guys. Always a pleasure and makes the APAT tournaments all the more fun. And the guy in the wheelchair was hilarious.  :)

I feel i must mention (in a Trippier stylee) that as well as making the final table in the hold "em i also outplayed my teammates in the Omaha, finishing in 12th and almost making the final table..... without actually playing! Just wish i"d known i was still in when we went on a break before the final table. I"d have sat down and done a Hansen! All-in, all-in, all-in.

Many thanks to the APAT team for again putting on a great tournament. Fantastically organised as always. Can"t wait until London. If only for the amusing commentary in the background whilst trying to make a decision. Particularly, Leighs "and Carl has raised, the action is back on the original raiser Andy Overton who"s looking a little sick". Surprisingly, i folded.  :)

Oh, and last but not least, apologies to Tony for not mentioning during my exit interview his bronze in the stud. I"ll be sure to mention it in my winners interview in London!

WASP:
Well done all medal winners (except mole)

Great comps, great TV and updates by Leigh and Rich.

Great weekend, now sleep

Out in 13th place is Phil Tompkinson.

Allin against Dave Potter.

Phil has A T, Dave has pocket sixes

The board comes 2 5 J 4 3

Phil is celebrating hitting his straight, until it"s pointed out Dave has a higher straight.

Hahaha Im still smiling about my exit hand.. get in.. fist pump.. Ohhhh... sixes..  :o

Well played all and congratulations to Gareth and Carl and Jack (top man). Had a fantastic weekend with fantastic people. Excellently ran as always. Thanks to Des, Tighty and Leigh and the team. See you all in London. Cant wait.
