Stu, for what it"s worth, I also went to Coventry after a spell of very little Live play over the past 12-18 months. Playing online definitely helped but the dynamics of a live table are so different, so i approached Coventry with a fair amount of fear, but also excitement about being back in the APAT fold for the first time since 2008. It was great to meet up with the gang again, enjoy the weekend and just play the cards and players that were in front of me.
It sounds like you just need to take a break from the game for a while and I think we all go through spells like that occasionally. Give it a couple of weeks then try a few online games and see if you get the bug back. Hope it works out for you.

o well after saturday night i would say your poker is better than your drinking. maybe take up omaha for a while as more concentration is required and could be more challenging for a man of your varied talents.
