Tall Trees looks to be c.£65 a night.

Via LR or Booking.com

A B&B on Booking.com is The Field View B&B c.£60 a night also

The B&B in the High Street looks to be the Yarm Guest House...not sure about the pricing as yet.

They QUOTE £35pp inc breakfast but my GUESS is that"s based on 2 sharing.

All I can say here is you get what you pay for.. to be honest the Stockton West one is OK, pub next door is a brewers fayre jobby which my mam bless her loves going to for the fish and chips haha. But its right next door to the A66 roundabout and an industrial estate with car garages and the like. Taxi ride anywhere really.

Tall Trees is a really nice place, full amenities etc, in its own grounds. Staggerable into Yarm I"d say.. but its a looooong stagger. Taxi really.

High street one.. never stayed there but its bang in the middle of it all and will save you on Taxi fairs. But its just someones house by the looks thats converted.

Can"t think of anywhere else really.. other than Crathorne hotel (in its own 15 acres etc.. 2-3 mins taxi north of Yarm).. but you"ll be looking at 150 per night there I"d reckon x

They look great....looks like they might be weekly jobbies but perhaps a group deal for Thu - Sun could be done for a group.

Quote

Utility Bills - There is no charge for heating, electricity or gas.

Servicing - The properties are serviced on a weekly basis. Fresh towels and bed linen are provided.

Restrictions - Sorry, we don´t allow smoking or pets in the properties.

Visitors - Only people named at the time of booking may use the amenities or stay in the cottages. If you want to use the property for a reunion, family party or any other social event involving more than four visitors please mention this at the time of booking.

Car Parking - There is plenty of car parking spaces around the cottages and undercover in the old barn.

Curly,,,,you"re up.

Yeah - I mean I get there will be taxi costs as well but they would have to be pretty expensive to beat this especially if there are a few of us there.

The the moment this looks like the way to go imo.

Cottages don"t look bad either, they just don"t look cheap

Probably 7-10 pounds from yarm to Stockton I would imagine in a taxi. Between a few of you it"s not bad at all.

Judges ftw
http://www.judgeshotel.co.uk/

Those cottages by the Fox Covert were used by some of the guests at Tessa"s wedding, as was the one up by Yarm Station (can"t recall names)

I"m pretty sure that the ones by Fox Covert will be open to some haggling - Tessa"s bff and kids and mum stayed there and bff"s dad has used it a lot. Damned certain they won"t have paid listed prices

I"m going to stick my hands up and admit that I"m really torn about Thursday. I mean, I"d love to do the Homegame thing at the G but £50 for a Premier Inn room is a bit beyond me at the moment.

As I mentioned to some / many in Nottingham, I"m blowing out Glasgow due to financial constraints (it"ll be one of few APATs I"ve missed in 6 years...and that hurts more than you"ll know) and now Yarm is looking like it might break me.

Oh, I can do c.£30 a night for Friday & Saturday (hell even Sunday) but that extra £50...I don"t think so.

Travelling

Feck...I think the train makes the only sense...I could drive it (and I prefer driving) for about the same as the train ticket but the car would be essentially unused whilst I"m there.

According to Trainline, I think I can do there and back for about £40 each way (two singles).

So, what the hell am I telling you this tale of woe for...just asking...is there any possibility of moving the game to Friday night?

Yours affectionately,

Paulie D.
