Back from the break still 9-handed L18 blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000 average 223k

The final 9 players have returned and our final table for the Main Event is underway.

Seat 2 Tom Noble
Seat 3 Conghai Wang
Seat 4 George Dick
Seat 5 Andy Whiteford
Seat 6 Nicki Seton
Seat 7 Tom Clark

A short-stacked Tom Clark gets 2 quick all-ins through - 24k in each unseen pot

Tom Noble raises under the gun to 20k

Folds round to Tom Clark who pushes all in.

Folded to the original raiser who calls fairly quickly with a larger stack

Tom Clark has  Ac Jh

Tom Noble has  Ad Qd

The board runs out 3h 9s 2s 7h 8h

Tom Clark"s impressive rebuild comes to an end and he finishes in 8th taking £300

Blinds are 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante

Nicks pushes all in pre-flop for 111k

Tom Noble in the big blind calls

Nicki shows  A s Qd

Tom shows  4c 4d

Nothing on the 6s 9h kc flop

The 4h turn made the end of Nicki"s tournament and the Jh on the river sealed it.

She finishes in 7th place for £400

6 remain...

George Dick raises from mid position

Andy Whiteford raises all in

It folds around to George who thinks for a second but quickly calls

George tables  Ah Ad

Andy shows, with a sigh,  Kd Kh

The board brings no fireworks with  7c 7h Jd 4c Qh and the cooler sends George to the payment desk to collect his 6th place winnings of £510

Only a hand or two later sees Liam Spence push all in pre-flop.

Andy Wilson joins him

And on a  8d 8c 6d Js 10h board, it was Andy"s  A s Qs that came out above Liam"s  Ah 7h

Liam is our 5th place finisher for £660

Play has appeared to tighten up and slow down now we are at our final 4

As I write this Andy Wilson has just shipped all in pre-flop and, after asking for a count, Tom Noble called him.

Andy tables  Ac Jd

Tom shows  A s 7d

The board plays out  5h 2s Jh 10h 3s

Andy doubles up from 111k to approx 240k including blinds and antes.

Bit of a hand on our final table.

There is a flop of  2h 4s 6h

Tom clark and Conghai Wang get it all in at this point.

Tom with  4c 4d and way out in front with his flopped set

Conghai with  8h 8d needing help with just an overpair.

The turn is the  10d

The river is the  8d and the groans went round the table.

Tom is currently on approx 34k

Just reading this now and the groans around my front room in Anfield were loud also..... Unlucky Tom.

Andy Wilson, as the short stack, made his move with  9h 9s all in pre-flop

He is called by Conghai Wang with  A s 10h

The board comes down  Qh 6c Ac Kd Kc

Andy Wilson is our fourth place finisher (and medal bubble boy) and collects £830

The final three are now guaranteed a medal.

Not many hands later, we have an all in and a call:

Andy Whiteford pushed all in from the button

Tom Noble calls him.

Andy shows  Kd 9s

Tom has  A s 3s

We get a  5c 2d 5d 2h Qc board and that sees Andy Whiteford finish in 3rd place, which adds to his superb record in the Scottish Amateur Poker Championship following his Silver Medal in Season 8.

And, after an incredibly short heads up, we have our winner!

Tom Noble pushes with  9h 9s

Conghai Wang calls with  A s Kd

The flop is  3c 7c 8c

The turn is  10s

And the river brings the  9d

Chip stacks were fairly even but after a final count, Tom had Conghai just covered.

Conghai Wang is our second place.

Very well done to Tommy, tangled with him since the start of Day 1 and a thoroughly deserved winner.  Wish I had ran a bit better but pleased with how I played on the whole.  And a great job done by Tom and Lucy all weekend as well as the cardroom staff.
