The blinds are finally biting the short stacks and we have just lost Warren Jackman in 5th position, for £200.

Excellent updates Des.  Could we have a rough chip count please.

If possible, could you pass my congrats onto Linda from a still awake hubby.

Cheers,
Richard

Linda has pushed all in on the flop and Jim has called with an up and down straight draw. Linda has doubled up with a pair of 5"s leaving Jim crippled with 4k.

Can someone please tell Tom Feilding to muck 7c :3c: :3d: :3h: if he gets dealt it. Thanks.

Ha, thanks for the tip  :P

I had a really enjoyable day - I bought into the tourney after a few too many beers and this morning I found myself on the train to London hurriedly flicking through Super System II trying to work out what exactly a good hand looked like in this game they call Omaha.

I was aiming to make the top 50 (so I could say I"m amongst the top 50 best amateur omaha players in the world. That"s right, isn"t it??) so was happy to get as far as 13th and even then my exit was a bit miserable after I caught a guy bluffing preflop only to then not have quite enough chips to price him out and his holding of 64xx rivered a straight. (I think he might be the guy currently in heads up)

Thanks Des for once again organising a really good day of poker.
