Not the APAT structure we know and love but fine for the league games IMO. Wouldn"t mind a longer structure for online nationals though.

We can do anything with the structure that we like.  Lets see what time the matches finish tonight and we"ll increase the play for the next round if players request.  With so many players registering, ideally we should be finishing by midnight latest.

The Online Nationals now have the APAT Live National structure, with 12 minute blinds instead of 45.  But the levels, antes etc, are now exactly as our live events.

Seemed quick to me.

I think after the 1st break the average stack was only 10bb.

As Des says though a midnightish finish would be ideal.

Good news this. I hadn"t spotted the post which mentioned this change to the structure.

I think that on our table after an hour we had 1 player with more than 17 rounds of poker left and all the rest had between 8 and 4. Having not really played for a year or so I"m not sure what you"re used to but it seemed to be getting to the shove fest real quick.

cheers

Stuart

Yep, if you want to warm your heart, take a look at the Blue Square Info page in the lobby of the APAT Online Welsh Championship.  The structure is outstanding imo.

Hey Des .. i trust you are well.

Congratulations on Season III

Think the league ideal is fantastic and is getting members talking to each other more. Glad to see you are willing to review the structure depending on the outcome, so can I just say that I think it is way too quick. I felt it turned into a bt of a crapshoot straight after the first break when in 4th place, I only had 20 times the BB

Am sure you will as always make the right decision for APAT and the members, so whatever you decide, good luck

I don"t think it was too fast but for quickness of blinds you need more chips or it turns into bingo.

I hit the nut flush and was moved to a new table virtually at the same time so don"t even know what beat me.

Finished 32 not great but its a starter for 10 I hope the others in the team do better than I did.

LOL  ad1 jd I hate these cards

Thanks Woody.  Initial impressions suggests we can squeeze at least another hour of play in, and we will look very closely at it ahead of the next match.  Hope to catch up soon.

Agree the stucture needs to change.  More chips or longer blinds doesnt really matter.  Excellent idea though; really got the banter going and made the whole online thing more personal (or is that tribal).

Maybe worth considering a starting stack of 3,000.
