If you have seen it, watch it again!

I"m looking for odds on him going below 9.50 before or at the next olympics.

anyone know where I can get this, or willing to take the bet?

And what about Bekele -- never lost a 10k in his life and he won his fourth world title tonight. Take him on in a marathon Dan ?

Bekele is phenomenal.  The best distance runner of all time, and hope he does go for the 5,000m as well.

You really don"t get a proper indication of how fast they are running in the 10,000m.  It"s frightening.

with the view that no human can run 100m in say 5 secs for example.....at what point will it get too...

opinions....?

My view point is the techinal side will get quicker....prime example...opening post was WR - 9.58...

say in 5-10 years it will read....9.584....amazing..took 1000"s off the record, etc.

Bekele ran the 10,000m in a little over 26 minutes.  That works out at 16 seconds on average for each of the one hundred 100m he runs during the race.  That"s incredible.

Its not the technology - they have been able to time races to much finer degrees of accuracy for ages. Swimming records were in thousandths of a second in the 1970s but this was changed to hundredths as the difference was considered too small to be meaningful in separate races, though the winners of individual races are still sometimes decided in thousandths.
