Munich, July 29th, Gr.1 Grosser Dallmayr Preis

Normally ZAZOU should be the fav in the race. No doubts about his class and 2000m are the best distance.Guess he likes any ground so imo he should be the horse to beat.

PASTORIUS wins the german derby July 1st. Great horse but a bit doubts about his condition after an exertive race. Lot of the derby winners struggles and need their time to compensate it. Think 2000m are not perfect, better to see him on 2400m.

WALDPARK, last years derby winner, is also a candidate to win this race. Prefer to see him at 2400m but he"s in a good shape and any rain should improve his chances. He was beaten by Ovambo Queen this month ( finished close as 4th last sunday in Gr.1 behind Meandre and Earl of Tinsdale)

PAKAL, Gr.2 winner at the Munich race course in May ( beat derby co-fav Black Arrow) is a dark horse in this race. Scratched from derby this race was focused after his biggest success. Not to underestimate with a 3y weight allowance of 4,5kg.

FEUERBLITZ, 2012 Derby Italiano winner (2200m) could find a perfect distance. There were no disappointments after his 10th place in german derby. As a son of top stallion Big Shuffle he should prefer this distance than 2200-2400m, indipendent of his great success in Italy this May.

DURBAN THUNDER came without any reference since he wins this race last year (runner-up Famous Name/D.Weld). Struggles as a 11/10 fav at his first 2012 start in lower class 2 weeks ago.

THEO DANON and KING"s HALL should be not the horses to finish at the top. I dislike to bet any of the 3y derby horses because in the past a lot of them couldnt compensate this race for month.

My pick: ZAZOU 28/10 - PAKAL - 100/10 - WALDPARK 42/10

its between these three imo with a slight preference for Libranno @ 4/1

close but no cigar yesterday, 2nd 25/1 and a 4th with GA backed down to 8/1.. MJ has got off to a good start and Frankel just looked like he was strolling again, if he goes to York and tackles 2f further imo he will only get better, a flat track with his style will seem like heaven to him...

Glorious Goodwood 2/8/12

2:15 -
Prussian 8/1
Blue Surf 12/1

3:15 -
Lost In The Moment 15/2

3:45 -
Midnight Soprano 13/2

I don"t bet her but keep my finger cross for neighbours WILD COCO in The Lillie Langtry Stakes. Have my doubts about the distance and prefer much more 2200-2400m.

Keep my eye more to HAZEL LAVERY today.

Wow, great performance and victory for my neighbours.;)

Bogart looks to be the bet of the day

I see you have not picked Conduct in the 4.00, do you think with the long layoff he needs the run?

Will look later and will post me picks

i just don"t think the bookies will take any chances with Conduct and will price him up accordingly plus add in the market which will probably back him.. if he is 9/1+ he will be worth a punt.. [on my book that is :)] i can"t see him getting that big though.. best guess he"ll open no bigger 9/2...

Goodwood Oak Tree Stakes

Guess that GAMILATI is the logical favourite. German GRACIA DIRECTA surprisingly wins Summer Stakes / York but I"m more interested to combine some bets around SURVEY. Like the distance and if ground will be not to soft/heavy Tom Queally could have a nice ride. APPEALING is another horse in my bets.

Good luck noble and nosey-p !;)

GL to u as well Achim..

This is the race i fancied Tepmokea a couple a years back i think Wayne? it was you who went that year wasn"t it? my logic is along similar lines as then - in form ish rated low to mid 80"s - preference in order Tinshu, Art Scholar [tied] and Cool Macavity...

SURVEY runs well, GRACIA DIRECTA finished at the end of the field. Expected that the distance is not perfect, prefer 1200m but also the favourite GAMILATI struggeled. APPEALING finished 3rd runs very well and paid 42/10, sadly no single bet on her.

Hope some of you pick some winners today.
