Thanks for all the PM"s so far guy"s. It"s great that there are so many people who would like to represent APAT and I know that you would all do it well and in the fashion APAT deserves. Liking the love for APAT and the fact that people think that APAT should be people first choice. Given the level of interest I tend to agree BUT I don"t agree it should be the only choice.

APAT is all about the competition. There will be a lot of APATers at this event who are not playing for team APAT (some of whom would like to) but are playing for other teams. I have to say I would prefer to see these people there and playing for other teams. Chezger for example has close links to APAT and I will be pleased to see players who are playing for them (and others) at the event, even if they have also applied for APAT. This event especially is all about the community and the more of our community are there, the better.

I can honestly say I wish that I could give everybody who has PM"d me/posted here a place but there are only eight and I will be making what I believe is the best choice for APAT overall. If that means some of you attend the event as members of other teams then that will only make the event that much better.

Hi Rodders

Much to our excitement and disbelief our Elite Amateur Poker League has been chosen to attend. Therefore, and with a huge amount of regret as I would have loved to have played for you, I must declare muself unavailable for selection on this occasion as I need to support the EAPL.

Thanks for considering me in any case.

I have chosen the 12th to announce the team as it gives the team members plenty time to book rooms and ensures we have a good selection of hotels to choose from, at the moment Holiday Inn looks a good choice to be the team hotel. It will mean people have enough time to see the thread and put a good case forward to me, which I have to say a lot of people have done.

So the team will be selected on 12th and if members of BCPC or any other club wish to apply then they are as welcome as everybody, but I will be fair on those people who want to play and don"t have (or in some cases want) the option of another team and would like to know if they are going to Bolton or not, some people will also have to sort out time off work and giving them as much notice as possible allows them to do this. Also by selecting this team as early as possible whilst still being fair to everybody allows those people not selected to have the chance to try for other teams. As Leigh says I could pick a number of excellent teams from the applications I have already recieved so some people have to be dissappointed. I want them to have the chance to get into other teams if possible and still attend the event.

Keep the applications coming, although this really does get harder everytime I look at my PM"s, this is going to be a great team we are in with a great chance of winning for a second year.

I wish to apply for the APAT team. You should definitely pick me cos I came 4th in the Omaha high-low last weekend.

And please choose Rudders and Bodders. You three are like our very own Huey, Dewey and Louie.

Hi Guy"s

I have now started the process of selecting the team and the random draw will be taking place later this week. I will be sending a list of players in a random order to Leigh and Tighty with a number next to each of you. A trusted member of the APAT community with no knowledge of which number represent which players (The Duke) will then select a number and I will annouce the successful player. Leigh and Tighty will be able to confirm this was indeed done at random as they will have the list.

If you have applied for the team can you please ensure you are on the list below. If you are not you need to let me know asap.

PHIL_TC = Phil Tompkinson
WASP = Brian Martin
SirPerceval = Stuart Oliver

EDIT - I hope people don"t mind me posting a list of interested peopleon this thread. The reason is to ensure that I don"t unintentionally overlook anybody and make sure everybody is in the random draw. I know some people have sent PM"s and not posted on the thread but as people are showing support to APAT by applying I did not see an issue with posting a list.

Thank you all for the applications. I wish I could pick everybody who deserves a place but I can only select 6 and one at random.
