Splendid! I presume the shift from PokerStars to Blue Square (whether temporary or not) was the cause of the contractual wrangling?

PokerStars was a superb and willing sponsor, however APAT's forte is live tournament play and partnering with the Rank Group (Blue Square, Grosvenor, Mecca) gives APAT members access to the most premium suite of cardrooms in Europe.

Absolutely Alan, if you have a friend or family member who is willing to buy the seat on your behalf, then that is fine.  They will need to send an email to customer@apat.com stating that they bought the seat and want to transfer it to you.

It will be someone who is also buying-in for himself... still OK, buying-in twice?

Yes, providing they come through customer@apat.com to confirm the transfer.  They will have to go through the process twice as it will only be possible to buy one ticket at a time, but that should be fine as there will be a lot of seats available.
