BAD RUN = BAD PLAYER ?

However, in tournaments you want to keep hold of your chips - especially early doors.  Racing for your tournament life, even when you"re ahead might be a positive EV move in terms of the maths for that hand, but do you want to be risking your tournament life against a player you know you"re better than, when you can get hold of their chips with less of a risk.

I was doing the same thing during my bad run.  I was putting myself at the mercy of variance, rather than avoiding these "coin flip" situations and getting my money in when I"m in a stronger situation.

Or am I talking nonsense.  Again...

Doesn"t sound like nonsense to me, sounds more like common sense.

Should you play through a bad run? Continue playing STT / MTT / CASH or should you concentrate on your best game? (in my case STT) or should you put your feet up for a month?

All what kinboshi says makes sense to me

i feel for you Wayne, we all go through these patches.

best thing to do, is play your ABC game, play whare you feel most at home STT"s in your case now.

Try not to lose your love for the game, if it becomes a chore stop, rethink and return when you feel happy.

Finally reember varience is huge on MTT,s stick to Stt"s till your back in winnung mode then return to MTT"s.

Good luck.

Well said Brendan.
