Registering for APAT on day of play?
texfitz:
--- Quote ---Like the online satelites, if you finish in the top 10% you are guaranteed £75 (the entry fee) at least, and the extra money over will be split up via some arrangement. You will still have to pay for the seat via payment from the APAT site, I think.

I think you might find that if you do qualify for National event. you are automatically entered therefore no payment to be made ???

See, I"m not the only one you managed to confuse
FlyingPig73:
I am only going off the way things where done in the previous satelites.
If you qualified in the online sats, you where given the money in your account. Then you followed the payment link that was setup. This means that the money never goes to a third party. I guess it would be the same for the live ones. The Grosvenor will have your money, and you are then relying on them transferring it to the APAT coffers. It makes sense for me for the casino to pay you out, and then you put it in your bank account and then pay onlinie direct to the APAT.
Sorry if I am wrong, which I could well be, and sorry for any confusion caused. I do know an announcement will be made soon.

Jimmy, I"m a little confused by this as well.
I was under the impression that the top 8 in the sats would gain automatic entry with the £75 entry being paid directly from the casino to APAT's coffers. The balance of the entry money (£20x80 - £75x8) then being paid out directly to those deemed "in the money".
However, your explanation of what happens with the on-line sats also makes sense.
Probably best if we wait for the announcement.....

I"m sure that the Casino wouldn"t be permitted to keep any money (even temporarily) especially as the qualifying Regional casino and the National Casino won"t be the same (albeit part of the same group).
You don"t win a seat as such, you win a guarantee of a seat....soooo...my guess is that you will be paid out in full but the casino will take your name, pass it on to APAT who will then contact you regarding whether you want the seat and supply you with a payment link if required.
Or it"ll be something else entirely... ;D
