We are delighted to confirm the European Championship of Amateur Poker (ECOAP) will take place at the newly extended and refurbished Grand Casino Asch, Czech Republic over the period Wednesday 29th April to Sunday 3rd May 2026.
Located on the Germany / Czech Republic border, Grand Casino Asch comprizes of a dedicated / separate 40-table poker room on the top floor of the casino, with a recently added Casino Hotel right next door.

Travel to Grand Casino AŠ can be achieved by flying to Prague Airport with a hire car from the airport terminal for a drive west towards the German border, or a bus journey of 2.5 hrs to the nearby town of Cheb.

Car hire services at Prague Airport (PRG) are centrally located in Parking Building C, which is directly opposite the terminals, rather than inside the terminal buildings themselves, with car counters such as Avis, Hertz, Sixt, Budget etc accessible via a covered walkway from both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

INTERNATIONAL TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The Festival kicks-off with the International Team Championship, which is a particular highlight of the week, bringing the raw emotion of national pride combined with hugely competitive poker action to the ECOAP tables, and will play out over the opening 2 days Wed 29th and Thurs 30th Apr.
Team Captains are confirmed by APAT in advance, and the Team Captain then brings their best 4 member / player choices to ECOAP to compete for the ECOAP Champions title.
The Team Champions are crowned with the award of a ECOAP Gold Medal for each team member, with the second and third placed team members each earning ECOAP Silver and Bronze Medals – and with the top teams also having a share of the prize fund.
A maximum of 1 team of 4 players from each country fight it out on the opening day with NLHE, PLO and PLO8 STT action, before culminating in the NLHE MTT, where it is all to be won or lost!
A team scoring leaderboard is maintained throughout the event, with points awarded in each Round of STTs on Day 1 relevant to each player finishing position in their STT, with the deciding NLHE MTT awarding points for every team member individual effort / placing based on their MTT finishing position.

Resident status of Country of 3+ years, or
Parent or Great/Grandparent born in or hold a passport of the Country.
As usual, teams are to wear their own matching colour team shirts for the event – if desired, team shirts are available via APAT with full event details and team logo / name printed on each for £15 t-shirt / £18 polo shirt / £28 hoodie/zoodie – APAT can assist any team in creating a team graphic / logo, and further team graphics or printing on the back or arms is available for a small additional cost from our supplier.
