UKCOAP Day 3 & 4 – High Roller & HORSE

  1. Day 3 of UKCOAP on Friday saw the second live Main Event Day 1 action with 92 unique entries, and 14 of them progressing onto Day 2 on Sunday with a min cash locked up – though the main action of the day surrounded the High Roller and the HORSE Championship.

 

82 entries for the High Roller paid the top 9 Final Table players, which when it got to 4-handed an ICM deal was agreed that saw Sophie Clarke come out on top with £5,720.

The HORSE Championship medal event peaked at 55 unique entries for the Freezeout, which went to a Final Table 7 all in the money with first to depart Nathan Ward picking up £220 in 7th and followed by APAT regulars Gordon McArthur 6th for £300 and Simon Lawlor 5th for £415, with Craig Bickerton just missing out on a medal in 4th though picking up £550.

Chris Dobson was the first to bink a medal – Bronze in 3rd along with £770.

 

Seth Webber went one better with Silver and £1,265.

 

And crowned the UK HORSE CHAMPION was

£1,980 and Championship Gold Medal

 

Day 4 on Saturday brought lots of action – 2 Main Event Day 1 Flights which saw Day 1C having 22/144 progress along with Day 1D 20/131 – action would continue on Sunday with a total of 72 Day 2 qualifiers all aiming to pick up Championship Medals and that £7,500 top prize.

 

Saturday also brought an exciting ROE (NLHE/PLO) CHAMPIONSHIP which paid the top 8 players.

Playing his first ever live PLO variant, congrats to John Coy finishing in 5th for £230, with Ben Burnhill falling by the wayside in 4th just shy of a medal – though picking up £315.

 

Well known APAT regular Tristan Chaplin picked up Bronze and £445, with Chris White taking Silver and £740 before crowning Haresh Thaker the UK ROE Championship and him taking home £1,155 and Championship Gold Medal.
